    Kubiak as OC?

Another possible candidate is former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak, who coached McCoy when at Denver in 1995. Kubiak served as the offensive coordinator for the Broncos, and McCoy was a rookie training camp arm.

Must be reading the same ESPN article as me. Kubiak was a hot OC back in the day, but he didn't seem all that impressive with his work in Houston or his input to their talent assessments/drafts in recent years (beyond the starting RB and WR). Don't know how Rivers would get along with Kubiak and his style of offense, and also that leaves Reich probably on his way to Titans quick.

Still like Reich, although the same ESPN writer brings up the fact that he's never called plays during a live regular season game (maybe as a QB though). ESPN wonders if McCoy might go back to calling plays for a while until Reich learns the trade. Let Kubiak go to Titans….

Kubiak was OC in name only in Denver. Shanarat had total control of that offense including play calling all those years.

Yuck on Kubiak, I'd rather take my chances on an unknown that at this point.

Shanny and Kubiak are pretty muc pure West Coast guys. We run a lot of West Coast elements, but we are not a west coast offense. We still have a lot of the old Air Coryell stuff in the offense. I can't see Kubiak being fond of that.

I'd rather have Pagano call the offensive plays than Kubiak.

By relegating playcalling duties to his QB.
