It's just 1 game, but this game indicate that JJ runs better inside than Ekeler, and probably just as good catching the ball in the open field. Right now it seems that they're still trust Ekeler more due to his experience with the team offense. But hopefully over time they'll play whoever play better, whoever in a rhythm. Understandable, but still hate to see JJ in a groove and they took him out for Ekeler, who got shut down all game.

It never pays to take a team lightly, but if ever there was a week to give Jackson a lot of carries it is against the Bengals.

What I don't understand is why they didn't run the ball to the outside. Ok most of Gordon and Ecklers long runs have been ruinning to the outside of the tackles and also having Watt blocking for them.

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense to rush Gordon back against the Bengals on an extra short week with the KC game looming.

If your 3rd string RB looks like Darren Sproles you know you have a good "team".

After the Az game when we knew Gordon was gonna be out I felt like J was the better replacement. Much similar running style to MG and better suited to running between the tackles.

Even moving forward I think J should be getting a few touches a game even if MG is healthy.

The Bolts changed their blocking schemes in the 2nd half after getting owned in the 1st. Eks kep getting hit the in the backfield in the 1st half. And the change in schemes helped win the game for us.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I would say yes the blocking schemes changed but I would say putting Justin Jackson in there was one of the biggest reasons we won.

Nice to see JJ with a good game. And smart to get Feeney pulling, he sucks blocking at the point of attack.

I was thinking the same thing.
If Lamp EVER returns to the football field, it might be as competition for the LG position.
