Well since Justin has his own thread, here is one for Dylan. I remember early in camp that there was talk of a TE hybrid type role for DC. At 6 - 3 225ish with wide receiver hands, he could be an awesome option/weapon for PR. Think about adding a weapon like this to your O a few weeks before the playoffs?

I thought he was looking great before he got hurt. Not lots of game film but the practice videos and reports got me encouraged. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Doubt he sees the field unless there is an injury, which i hope doesnt happen. Nothing against Cantrell, im sure he can play but he isnt a top weapon yet. Not sure how they plan to use him but TE seems to be a stretch at 225 lbs. Not sure what a hybrid TE role is. If he can be a good posession WR then i think he will be a good player.

AL had said that Dylan was the most improved player before his injury. Another potential weapon is never a bad thing!

Interested to see how he does, but with no game experience I don't expect much from his route running or blocking. It will be interested to see how soon Rivers trusts him. I don't expect him to be active unless someone is hurt.

He will have to earn his playing time on ST first, if active.

He just got on the 53 to replace Barksdale, so he hasn't had a game to his credit. I suspect the team considered Barksdale as surplus, and maybe thought it would be prudent to promote Cantrell to avoid him getting poached.

Promoted guys usually do play, but I wouldn't be surprised he's active for Special Teams, only.
