    Stuckey Signs Multi-Year Deal

Chargers re-signed FS Darrell Stuckey to a multi-year contract.
Stuckey was the Chargers' highest remaining priority after extending Donald Butler and will return as a special teams captain and reserve safety. He appeared in all 16 games last season, finishing with 21 tackles. Stuckey is unlikely to push for significant defensive snaps in 2014.

OK for me. He's great on special teams, as he is usually there near the ball on returns. He and Tutu are what we need on ST.

Glad he's back. It was a disaster when Osgood was discarded. Last year was the first time in a Long time our special teams weren't terrible.

Stuckey is an excellent Special Teamer. He's not just good, he's pretty great.

And his play at safety improved last year as well.

This is good news. (and he is one heck of a good person, by all appearances)

I'd better start paying attention. I thought it said "Stinky Signs Multi-Year Deal". Glad to have Stuckey back. Seems to be a quality guy and is comfortable with his role on the team.

It really helps to have ST guys who have a role in the regular D as well. His ST play alone is worth a roster spot, but he is starting to become a decent pass down S too, so we don't have to devote too many roster spots to guys who just play ST. Same with Gachkar and Walker. Not great defensive players, but solid subs and great on ST.

What really stands out this offseason is Telesco is getting rid of players that don't perform and making a point to sign players that are. I wasn't the biggest Eddie Royal supporter but he did produce and TT found a way to keep him. I thought the Butler deal would drag on, but he got it done with little drama and talk in the press. Such a relief after all the tension AJ brought to every player issue for years. Maybe San Diego will become a popular free agent destination.
