Or dumbness. Not trying to be an ass, but, really...did he know about it before the Combine? If so, I can't imagine that lifting was the greatest idea. And, again, IF he did know about it...why wait so long to have it done? He wasted at least 2 months of rehab.

I'm on the side of those who believe everyone gets better on defense if there is a strong presence in the middle. If Louis Nix is there, I'd sprint to the podium with the card.

I doubt very much he would make the injury worse by lifting. Depending on where the tear is, it might not bother him on certain lifts, but on others hurt like a bitch and sap him of strength. (I have a torn labrum in my shoulder. It never bothered me bench pressing but kept me from doing military presses.) I was told that repairing a torn labrum was a fairly straightforward procedure but that a torn labrum is something some people choose to live/play with.

This is true. My labrum and rotator cuff injuries still allowed me to do many excercises at the gym. Military press was a big nono though.
