    Welcome Ghee and Walker

    Michael Gehlken
Chargers announce two additions: ex-Bengals CB Brandon Ghee and LB Reggie Walker. Walker on team in 2013. Both two-year deals.

Ghee has some skills but is oft injured and was buried on cincys depth chart. I like walker. One of the more underrated guys we had on defense last year. His versatility is a plus

It's pretty obvious now what kind of player telesco prefers in free agency. Freeney was an exception because of desperation.

Good to see Walker back. Ghee definitely has some potential in terms of measurables--seems like a better athlete than Patrick, so I think we are getting better with this move too. Ghee looks like a step in the right direction as a reserve CB.

Why was Ghee buried on that depth chart though? Cincy was AWFUL in the secondary and had a ton of injuries.

Glad Walker is back, thought he was a goner. This probably means the end of Ghakar since Walker is a more productive player on defense + the ST contributions.

They had veterans Pacman and Newman as starters and Kirkpatrick, a first round pick, so they had some solid players on that team.

Also, their pass defense was pretty rock solid. They were 5th in passing yards allowed, 2nd in YPA against to Seattle with a rock star good 5.9 YPA against (an astonishing 2.1 yards per pass attempted better than we were last year), 5th in INTs, and 2nd in QB rating against.

I would say that it is no crime for a young player to be a reserve on that unit.

Ghee runs a very fast 4.39 40 (improving our defensive speed overall), has fluid hips and is good against the run. The knock on him that I read is that while he is fast, because he has longer legs, he is not super quick, so he can be beaten by sharp cutting receivers. But we have a guy in S. Williams that has the potential to be good against the sharp cutting guys, so I like us getting Ghee here based upon my limited reading about him.

Where have you been SuperCharger?! I have liked every single new player added so far this offseason by Telesco and have said so in each thread about the new player and in the Fire Telesco thread.

What type of player is that? I'm not seeing the pattern.
