The more I think of it, this team went 12-4. Bring back a lot if our FA. At DT I would keep Square and Philon, Luiget too at something cap friendly. Add a guy like Jones in the second who can really penetrate (think he drops cuz only so-so against the run).

Liuget did not warrant that contract. He was not as bad as many suggest. The defense definitely improved when he came back, and it dropped off when he got hurt.

That is it right there, maybe not a great player but he makes this D operate so much better when he is in. In that sense he is great - for us.

The question is pretty much an extension of the Perryman and Verrett thing though. All are better players who bring a lot to the team, when they play. But how many games do they have to miss and at what price before they become a liability. At some point, the roster spot becomes more valuable even with a lesser player in that spot.
