The thing I really remember about the game was that we just did such a poor job of tackling. Lot of missed tackles, which is a problem since the key to playing the bend but don't break D we used was making sure we tackled them.

Not sure how to confirm it going back so far. It was a pretty big topic for discussion on the old Sporting News message board around 1995. I had again heard some tidbits about it later on from guys around the team in the early 2000's as I was reporting for Yahoo Sports occasionally until 2004. Mostly complaints about Alex and his legendary tightness with a dollar. Comments like if you heard screaming in his office it was the pennys being pinched, etc. Seemed to be pretty common knowledge. Nothing newsworthy, anyways.

See Warren Haynes on the symphony tour if you get a chance. He plays Jerry's guitars. Even the Wolf! I hadn't heard Jerry's perfect tones since he passed. Haynes was the perfect choice, and he was very honored to do it.
