Even the original Jamaican Pickapeppa sauce is spicy. Its not a pepper sauce though. But it has kick. Its my go to steak sauce.

It's cool if it's not a pepper sauce. I just don't like a vinegar sauce.

Although one thing I won't put a sauce on is a good steak. Steak for me needs to be simple, salt, pepper and maybe some butter unless it's not a good cut

Its most popular use is on cream cheese. Crackers and cream cheese with pickapeppa. Amazing. Its more tomato based but has some sugar cane vinegar in it. Its sweet. Almost reminds me of Schnees sauce somewhat. His has a sweet curry notes to it.

And i put it on my steak because thats what my dad used to do. I guess its my way of honoring him.

I'll definitely give it a try. I'll try it as you suggested. I have a lot of hot dry rubs that I use that way.

It's all a new world to me. I hated spicy stuff until 2010. Since then it been an almost daily experiment. Rooster sauce is my favorite but that's almost like my salt

Yea im a huge Rooster fiend. I swear its hotter now than it used to be. That or i just got a batch that might have had hotter than the norm peppers. Its never made my mouth sore before like it did.

It's probably just a different taste. As I try other sauces the roosters sauce takes on a different flavor. The main positive about it is that as I taste other sauces it still has a ton of flavor. Compared to the ghost sauce I tried tonight that my brother brought me back from Tokyo, it was semi hot but had no flavor

This stuff is my usual go-to sauce that I put on nearly everything:

                        I love this stuff too:

I always preferred the Cajun peppers and Louisiana hot sauces like Crystal or Rooster.
                          Not very hot but flavorful.
Man, I could go for a catfish po' boy with pickles and hot sauce right now...
