Chargers Park has been quiet of late.
On Wednesday, company is coming.
About 15 local draft-eligible prospects are expected to work out at the team facility, beginning at 9 a.m. They'll compete in the 40-yard dash, three-cone drill and short shuttle before a set of on-field drills with coaches, league sources said.
The workout resembles a typical pro day.
This, however, is not open to media or the public, and no other organization's staff members will be present.
The participants include a number of former San Diego State players, including safeties Nat Berhe and Eric Pinkins, and fullback Chad Young. Running back Dillon Baxter, an ex-Mission Bay High prep star, is among the others scheduled to attend.
Each NFL team is permitted to hold a local day for draft-eligible prospects.
The participants count separately from a team's 30 allotted pre-draft visits.
