The Bolt Nickname Thread

So, a "Palmer" is a pilgrim, crusader or explorer type. He will now be exploring SoFi regularly.

Regarding Jaimes, his name is pronounced like "high muss", which means to make very untidy. Arguably, no thing on earth does that more so than a tornado.

As I said, they are subtle.

If Palmer had McKitty's hands, the nickname "Big Hands" would have been a cinch. We could still call him "Medium Hands". But Jaimes is a tough one if you are just going off of the player's name as I did.

If a player has certain traits or a nickname already, especially one that can be parodied in the event of poor performance, that might make the task easier in some instances.

Chain, I'll give you an "A" for creativity!

Not everyone needs a nic name. Only the truly special or bad players deserve them.

TC has a thing for nic names. Its not a forum wide thing but every now and then we/I wil use one like InvisiMel for his disapearing acts in games.

I don’t post very often but I’m lurking almost everyday. However, Joey Bosa put out some very important information a few days ago during an interview on the Chargers site. Nickname wise.

Before the video I was considering making a post about Keenan. I mean it’s obvious that he just threw out the perfect nickname for himself. Picasso… Um, his route running and Picasso’s disjointed, quirky brushstrokes seem to have magical similarities.

Back to the Bosa video, at 2:36 Bosa drops the name on Chris Rumph, and calls him Rumphington. At 3:18 he drops his own moniker on us, Eeyore. He actually said that he has his mope Eeyore attitude. Dude, don’t go near any waterfalls!


So, perhaps:

Allen = Picasso
Rumph = Rumphington
Bosa = Eeyore
