He will also be a guest this upcoming Monday on the nfl.com's "around the league" podcast...for anybody who's interested.

Thanks for posting this. To peak more interest in listening for others, Flowers said that the scheme that Sutton ran in KC was not an issue for him. He said the scheme called for man-man with no safety help most of the time and that is what he has been playing from day one in KC. He said that his injuries prevented him from being effective in the scheme and that he had no long speed because of his knee. He actually complemented Sutton and the coaches for finding a spot for him that would allow him to be on the field and contribute with the limitations he was playing with. A very different take than what 'unnamed NFL personnel people' said about Flowers' situation and their presumption that age had caused him to lose his speed.

Also said he loves Rivers and he loves Pags and always admired the Chargers (maybe saying what he needs to say? But sounded sincere). And that the defense Pags runs is more complex with more disguising than what he did in KC but is very similar to what he played in college.

Does he have his speed back?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

A little OT, but Shareece Wright just claimed he was the best CB in the league on 1090.

Did he specify which league he was talking about?
