the colts play the jags next week, and the texans after that. it would be great to see Rivers win out and knock off the jags for us.

I cannot help but love this man. I'd have all 10 of his kids!
The closest Rivers came to a comeback was during the 2022-23 playoffs, when San Francisco got to the NFC title game despite injuries to Trey Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock Purdy. Rivers even began to attend videoconference meetings with the 49ers to learn the playbook and game plan. If the Niners had beaten the Eagles to ad***** to the Super Bowl that year, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan admitted this week that Rivers would have been their quarterback against the Chiefs. "He was always in there, but no one really knew," Shanahan said. "He was always ready if the moment happened."
What a bigger story than currently had that happened. I didn't know he was doing zoom calls to learn the offense. Also didn't know he was struggling with coming back in 2021.

As much as I love Rivers, I hope this is it for him. The Colts should start Riley Leonard and see what they have. Rivers can help Riley from the sideline over the next two games and then go back to Alabama to work on Child #11 and continue to help Gunner grow as a quarterback.

Rivers showed up both games. Played crazy good for a 44 year old off the couch. Didn't quite get enough from the other guys on the team. Kind of the Story of his NFL life. Played well enough to win, but still lost because it's a team game. One thing he truly showed was that quality NFL QB play is from the neck up. He was in complete command in management of the offense. I think these two games enhance his hall of fame resume quite a bit. And the type of guy he is, since they Colts are not technically eliminated yet, he likely starts next week. If Bolts can beat the Texans next weekend. And somehow Colts can win vs Jax. Then Colts will be in a win and in scenario vs Texans final week of year. How crazy would that be?!Who has it better than us?
