Kerryon is a huge concern...... because we are horrible at run defense.....

Stafford is a career loser because one down he makes a great throw but then a play or 2 later he makes a bonehead decision and throws ball way off target or to the other team.... he is consistently inconsistent ....... this should be a good matchup for our pass rushers because he is a guy they can pressure and sack..... as long as we stuff the run or as long as our offense runs up a huge score forcing him to throw every down....

if we let detroit run for 150+..... like we did the colts then they have a shot......

Chargers 27, Lions 16. Stafford will get some production as he usually does but then will be unable to cash in on 3 of 4 drives, also as he usually does - settling for FGs. Phil and Co will get 3 TDs and add a pair of kickers.

I like Chargers D at Det. In game 1, Indy OL & Mack wore our DL down, Brissett was solid. They will take some attitude & focus to the Lions. We'll keep pressure on Stafford & tackle better.
LAC offense will pass enough to keep some balance but we will run. We need to keep our young OL on the attack, get Lamp more snaps.

The team can't be sluggish. Or it may be a repeat of 2011. Rivers needs to remember the last time the Chargers visited Detroit.

Chargers D are every bit as aware of last Sunday's apparent performance as this crack board of experts. They will want to say something emphatic on the topic of their rumored ineptitude. I expect they might get a little loud.

You may be a bit over confident. Our D is missing some key pieces, and the Lions have a capable offense with a trio of decent WRs (Golladay, Amendola, Marvin Jones), a sophomore RB, Kerryon Johnson, who averaged 5.4 ypc in 2018 and rookie stud TE in TJ Hockenson who was a sensation in his first game last week. Matthew Stafford is as capable as Phil Rivers. I think it's going to be a relative shoot out, with the Chargers (hopefully) on top, but I don't think our D is going to shut down their O.
