I'll be on the road back by to LA by then. I'm not driving though so am hoping to stream it on my way back. If we end staying later, it certainly won't be an issue.

So I dunno if this is helpful to anyone... But I spent some time last night trying to figure out how directv app knows when to show local channels when traveling. I tried VPN, it made no difference. I then isolated it to location services (GPS) and that was the kicker. Anytime location services was blocked for the app, it would not show local channels.

So I got an app called fake GPS free for android and it worked great. You can make it look like you still in LA even when you aren't. I confirmed testing this with a friend out of state using my account and the fake GPS app. So for anyone traveling who has direct tv and wants to watch local channels remotely on their phone this might be a good option. Might work for other apps with same limitation, who knows.

Now hopefully cbs doesn't have some silly rule about streaming their channel during game time to people in their home market (where I'll be pretending to be this weekend via the GPS app). I'll let you guys know if It works in case anyone is interested.

Yup. I am not sure why we are even favorites after the Detroit debacle. Both lines are subpar. Losing James on D has a cascading effect and with HH out we are again missing an important chain mover on 3rd and medium. I am not at all confident about our chances. Hopefully they will prove me wrong.
