This season saddens me to say is all but done I think we have only 6 core pieces to build on going forward in 2020

Derwin James-Super Star
Hunter Henry - Just needs to stay healthy
Eckler- Just productive
Desmon King -valuable slot and good punt returner
Bosa *- Obvious a keeper, but will he extend?
Kennan Allen* has this season left Allen wanting out this is the most vocal he has ever been can't blame him.

Rivers doesn't seem like he can carry the team at this stage of his carrer but he's our guy till we get a guy

AS usual, these sort of knee-jerk reactions leave out the majority of the roster. You don't make decisions based on just a few players. You have to do the entire roster as a collection.

Another thing to note, with just the players you have listed above, we only have to ability to replace about the number you have listed. If we are going to make any effort for quality replacements, that list is about all we can manage.

If I’m understanding you right, I think the OP is implicit regarding other players on the roster
he looks to be singling these players out because they are the most valuable commodities and this play a bigger role in how we manage them.

btw I’d consider throwing in KA also unless we’re willing to break the bank on him. We’re not winning thr superbowl next year with a rookie qb which is Allen’s last year on contract. not opposed to the idea of resigning him if he aligns with our new projected window. Just lots of red flags from him lately and I don’t know if he has the patience or desire to develop new chemistry with a rookie qb.

AS usual you have all the answers, I didn't do the full 53 man roster dive, but if you look at players that are valuable to the team tell us all who don't know much as you who you consider the core of the team.
