The only way the Chargers could make it is if they finish all alone with IND at #6 spot.

I have taken a close look at this as well, and I totally agree with you that the No. 6 seed is going to be a 9-7 team. But I am more optimistic about that team being the Chargers, because I see the real possibility that the Steelers,Titans, Raiders and Browns finish with 8 wins or fewer. The Bolts I believe hold a tie-breaker over the Colts if they are the only 9-7 teams. I saw one pundit scenario that has the Chargers owning the tie-breaker over the Raiders if they are both 9-7.

Yeah but the Chargers though........the only pro team in all of sports to make 0.00000000001% possible yet 99.99% seem out of reach. If there were a team to explore strange new ways to lose, to seek out new life in dire moments, to boldly go where no team has gone before...its the Chargers.

If they hold to form, they will win the next 4 and lose week 17 to KC. Just enough to get to 8-8 and a middle of the pack draft pick and no playoffs.

Winning a championship with 4-8 and 4 games behind the leader was unbelievable.
At 4-7 and 3 behind this year, the situation seems worst.
If KC, LAC finish 9-7, the Chiefs are 3-0 in the division; the Chargers, 0-3

Other than the Ravens the AFC is shit this year. We can talk playoffs until we can’t I just want to see the Chargers play well, win a game and play well in the next game.

Still have a slight chance. The Chargers would need to win out and for the Steelers and Titans to lose out. Need the Raiders to lose all the remaining games except for the Tennessee game.

This team needs gigantic luck like the 2008 team had.
