Rivers didn't play bad overall. His first half was a little rough with the bad INT and a couple bad screen result passes but only had 9 incompletions and a few of those were throw aways.
Could he run a couple times for a first down? Sure but that's not his game, never has been.
2nd half he was good.
Meanwhile, you got Lynn out here "warming up" Tyrod on the sidelines, like the rest of this ship he's steering isn't on fire and sinking at the same time.

I appreciate Rivers. I'm just not blinded by some undying love of the guy as you appear to be.
You do know Rating just rates the pass stat.
Nothing else.
Not the opponent you did it against. Not if a perfect TD pass is dropped or if it was butterfingered and then intercepted. Not how well the line played in front of the QB. Not if yards were stacked up in garbage time. It just rates the pass stat. It has no context or analysis. It rates the stats.
QBR rates the players perfomance and accounts for poor o line play. Down and distance. Drops. Etc.
Sorry this is not 2009 Rivers at age 28 who played at an MVP level behind an average o line.
This is 38 year old 2019 Rivers and he isn't playing well enough behind an avergae o line quarter after quarter, game after game.
Its not a shot. Rivers is not beyond reproach.
Nobody is.
We clearly have very different TVs because we are not watching the same game.
And we clearly see the numbers different.
I don't care about stats except Ws & Ls.
I do like analytics on performance and expected value of each play.
It just my opinion that Rivers is no longer the man. And that he always had some flaws that cost a game here and there. So no AFC West titles in 10 seasons.
Ive seen enough on my TV. Its a good TV.
I want to see Burrow in Bolts on my TV.
Who has it better than us?

How can they account for a bad OL?

Yep. Rivers played well enough today, no doubt.

There are tons of articles on the web mocking it. I wouldn't put any serious consideration into that metric.
