I hate when I see the end of the game early in 4th.
How do we get 4 really good players back and they lose 3 of their best players on Defense.

Its called the Charger way to losse. everyone has to contribute and they did.

Our D is overrated. Bottom line, with the game on the line, once again, they allowed back to back fgs to lose the game.

Basicaly every major QB in the league caught enough fire at one point and got a ring.

        Brees.
Broken down, horse steroids Payton Manning.
        Joe Flacco.
        Eli. Twice. Against the Patriots.
Nick Fucking Foles. Who just got benched.
Soon to be probably Lamar. No words.
That’s easy, Rivers had knee injury & we lost LT to in same year who was the best player on our team. The other good chance was MARTY Ball.

Let’s look at when this started to go wrong.

          1. Off-season
Not locking up your Franchise QB and not locking in Gordon. Good GM would lock them in or look for value in a trade.

          2. Start of Season. Lose D.James in Training Camp. (Remember this is Rivers last year—— are we all in?

          3. Season starts but does not look good out of the gate.

          4. Chargers get out Scored 20-3 in second half by The Texans.

5.trade Deadline comes and goes with no all in Mentality in Rivers Last year.

          6. Whiz gets Fired by TT or Lynn. Did anyone ask Rivers if this will help him?

          7. Lynn says “we will bench Rivers if...”

what is wrong with this organization. It’s Rivers last year, let him go out in a good way. Not like weddle, LT......

IMO, this is a delusional take.
            Overrated. Whos overrated the defense.
Trying to find a way to deflect blame from offense and special teams to defense.

It was the defense who threw that interception.
It was the defense that commited those false starts.
It was the defense who missed the FG.
It was the defense that fumbled the punt.
It was the entire defense that had that PI on last play.

Yep the defense lost the game.
            Not clutch.

            Good grief people.

The defense has been the most consistent and reliable part of the team from what im watching.

Maybe I need a new TV.

The last PI was a killer. Poor coaching and bad situational awareness.

This. They ain’t been perfect, but they are good enough to win at this level with an O that doesn’t spot the other team points.

Definitely need to stop giving the other team short fields( another 3 today!)
How many times have we been on the wrong end of a 3 point or less loss? All those short fields( whether it be from an all too frequent interception or muffed Teams play) contribute to AT LEAST 3 points( usually more!).
The D certainly has it's deficiencies( sloppy tackling, no rush, weak up the gut) but if not for the incredible field position the opposition is given by the other two units, they've played solid enough to be on the winning side more often than not.
Plenty of blame to hand out in the locker room but if I'm in charge of replacing guys, I'm starting on the other side of the ball.

I never claimed that the ST blunders and turn over by the O didn’t hurt us - they did. But our D gave up the go ahead and game winning fgs on back to back drives to a rookie QB playing behind a beat up offensive line. Bosa, our mega star, got run over by a smurf RB who weighs almost 100 pounds less than he does on a crucial point in the game that went from a 2 yard loss to a 13 yard game. . We had no sacks on a rookie QB. We didn’t even have a single QB hit against him, despite him playing behind that bad line missing people. An elite defense would have not allowed back to back scoring plays to lose the game to a bad team. We did. That they didn’t suck as bad as the O and ST is not exactly a stellar compliment.

So Rivers had a below average game behind a subpar oline. And you forgot the rush stats. You know the QB sneak for 1yd. That he can't execute. Oh yeah. They didn't even try. He gives you zero with his legs again today. 41.9 QBR for the game. 50 is average.

So you telling us he was below average today.
We know. We watched the game.
But that a big improvment from god awful vs Kansas City. 22.8 QBR.

Yeah Philip you lead us to another winnable game loss.

I'm sorry, but this 38 year old franchise QB is not so amazing he is beyond reproach.

And this idea we can't replace him.
We went from Brees to Rivers.
                      1 talented QB to another.
The last 2 QBs the Chargers picked with high rd picks. They nailed.
But yep. You Rivers homers are so confident that when he leaves the franchise will be a doormat with no QB for years.

Really. They are in last place right now.
Haven't won the AFC West in 10 years.

                      Your worried about what?

Oh no. Watch out Charger fans we might be in the AFC West cellar for a long time after Rivers leaves.

Somehow im not so slippery slope concerned that we fall in to an abyss. There is Charger life after Rivers. Perhaps a very good life.
Perhaps a very good Joe Burrow life if we are lucky enough to pick him up.

So freaking scared to move on from Rivers.

Can you guys please stop it with the Joe Burrow nonsense ? Burrow will be an average QB in the NFL, nothing more.

I'm sure you realize that Burrow was with the Ohio State program for 3 years and couldn't win the starting job so he had to transfer to LSU ?

I'm sure you all watch LSU games and see he has the Great Wall of China of OLines and super fast athletic WR's running wide open all game long ? Non of which he will have in the NFL and most certainly not with the Chargers.

If you want to talk great QB's with great upside talk Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields who will be great in the NFL and both have yet to hit their ceiling. Those are the guys you want to draft and trade up for.

Joe Burrow will be just an average Joe, nothing more.
