Fouts, Tomlinson, Seau, and Winslow (soon to be Rivers, if he can recapture his previous brilliance)
Chargers Mt Rushmore vote.

These are in order and are 100% without a doubt my top 4 with the Hon Mentions below a not so close (not really distant) 5 through 8.
- Don Coryell-We have no Super Bowl Rings and that is often thrown in our faces. Could you imagine how much more could be thrown in our faces had we not had teh Coryell Era... he is first on my list. He is why people 40yo and up (non fans) respect the Chargers.
- Junior Seau-One of the best LB in the history of the game (Nuff Said).
- Dan Fouts-The absolute best QB to ever wear lightning bolts.
- LT-The best RB to ever wear lightning bolts. He is why people 15yo and up respect the Chargers
.
Hon Mention 1-Allworth-May not have been the best WR (pass catcher) to ever don the lightning bolt. HOF and great player, but Joiner and Winslow were the two best pass catchers in bolt history.
Hon Mention 2-4 -Winslow/Joiner/Gates all great pass catchers and all great Chargers, but they just didn't have enough impact for me personally to surpass the 4 mentioned above. Don't get me wrong, they were/are very big parts of Bolt memories, but not even close to my top 4.

Funny thing about the tight ends is that both Winslow and Gates are ranked below another former Charger, John Mackey, by a number of historians. The Chargers have had great players throughout the years, and two innovative coaches, so leaving off someone is tough. If Bobby Ross would have won that Superbowl, he would have leapfroged himself into that top four.

We've had some great receivers play for the Chargers. JJ was all-world for those three years, and Wes Chandler was a great one too, his performance in the 1982 game against SF is one of the greatest games ever by a Chargers WR.

Far more physically gifted, but Winslow's career was cut short.

Winslow was a fucking dick about the Eli Manning not wanting to play in SD thing. I loved the player, lost a lotta respect for the man during that whole thing. It's a little hard for me to separate the two, so I'll take me some Gates over him as well.
