What's the point of the SD card?

Older boxes needed it for the firmware updates. Once your firmware is updated you no longer need it (although you could download to it it's probably too small to bother)

Mine is great for streaming movies & TV shows. Sucks for Charger games IMO. Takes awhile to find a good stream, but the box does have some perks
