Our situation is as bad as it could possibly be.

    We all know.
    Fanbase issues.
There has been nonstop talk on SXM all morning about how bad it is.

Football wise, we are right there with Cincy.
It's neck and neck for suckage maximus.

At least they have a young, promising QB and an OLT.
    Joe Burrow and Jonah Williams.
We will be hanging our hat on our young defense.

NFL, step in and force Spanos to sell the team to a very rich person with fresh ideas and lots of energy. This is the only answer. Otherwise, the stench of the move will never dissipate.
    Yes, you are correct.

My fellow Charger fans, dark days lie ahead for us.

My prediction is 6 straight years of losing seasons.

We will move into the new stadium that will be mostly empty on game day except for opposing fans.

It will be like the soccer stadium only 10 times worse and hugely embarrassing.

With Rivers gone, there will be no captain to our ship and we will be lost like a rudderless ship floating aimlessly in a hurricane.

Telesco will blow the QB draft in 2020 and that QB (whoever it is) will be a bust.

In 2021, Telesco and Lynn will be fired and we will try to hire a new GM and Coach. Keep in mind, this mess is not Telesco or Lynn's, its Dean Spanos. He is the one responsible.

With the fanbase eroding at an alarming rate, we hire a new re-tread GM and Coach who try to draft another QB in 2024, but that QB is also a bust.

Not because of talent, but because a new GM, Coach, and 22 year old qb cannot atone for the sins of Spanos. It is too heavy a burden to bear. Only Spanos can atone for his sins and he continues to stay in denial and continues to talk nonsense about fighting for LA.

As the fan base continues to erode with no real home and fan base, Free Agents refuse to play here and college players drafted pull an Eli and refuse to come here.

We become perennial bottom dwellers of the AFC West, being beaten by even the raiders like a drum.

Only the most hardened Charger fans survive. The Charger fans remaining become great friends and after every loss, drink and smoke heavily but at least commiserate with each other and tell camp fire stories.

God Bless you guys. Know that one day the darkness will be over and the Bolt will rise again !!!!

true...good OC with the right offensive talent that fits his system....... he does not adapt offense to take advantage of personel... like better coaches do....

I keep hearing from the media how talented this team is - in no way is this group even close to as talented as that 2006-2009 ( Rivers,Tomlinson, Turner, V Jax, Gates, Sproles) team. I know Rivers has made his fair share of mistakes, and cost us some games. He has won his fair share for us as well. But I am not a believer in saying any QB wins or loses a game. They make plays good or bad that affect the outcome of the game, but the TEAM wins or loses - not the QB.

We laud our free agents who make the team, and rightfully so. I love those stories as much as the next guy, but the other side of that coin is that we always seem to have plenty of room for those guys. This roster is not deep, there is some top end talent and then a HUGE drop off.

Getting back to that group that played in 2004-2009 era, there is not one guy on our O-line currently that I would take over that group. We talk so much about how good Bosa and Ingram are (and they are good) yet that group had Jamal the wall, Merriman with 17 sacks in 06 and Shaun Phillips with 12.5 sacks that year - heck even Castillo had 7. This is definitely not all on Rivers! Yes, he is getting older and inevitably he will be gone, but let's take our rose color glasses off and call it what it is, from a talent standpoint this team is overrated!! We need help and LOTS of it!

Which is why we need a new GM that can actually draft solid all the way thru and a real coach that knows how to scheme to said players strengths.

That would be nice but no GM hits on every pick.

Thank heavens the season is finally over. I don't know what to say except it was the biggest season of non-performance I have ever seen.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                Let’s win one for Mack.

Dont expect perfection but I expect better.Alot better.Honestly TT is not very competent at drafting and damn near unwilling to engage in free agency. His own mantra is his undoing.

TT has had some serious stinkers in the draft for sure.

is there a disconnect between Lynn and our FO ?? does Loyal Lynn have a misplaced loyalty ?? should he be more loyal to the players or us/the fans ??

cannot overstate the impact of moving into a new stadium, 'specially if ticket/seat license sales are flat/slow.... am sure I don't want a maybe OT.... is Coach Lynn a maybe HC ?? how sure are you 'bout that ??

do think this board's expectations were way too sky high to start the season.... not to mention apparently/perhaps the NFL and their zebra hitmen weren't too keen on our soccer stadium to start with ??

and not out to reconcile the Rivers down the river club, and.... are we being a bit selective in reading/absorbing some of the posts here.... the ones that show his passer/QB rating over 100 when he has an Okung to his left, and.... what about Aaron Rodgers.... his team is 13-3 and according to some of the Pack fans he's been less than stellar in perhaps as many as a handful of outings, w/ratings under 50 for those games, and w/many a pass underthrown or thrown behind, etc.

and maybe more than anything.... we need a NT !! ….CB is not our most "pressing" need,
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
ED Malcom Koonce, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, QB Gardner Minshew, TE Jelani Woods, P Matt Araiza

How in the world are the Bolts going to sell seats in a new stadium. What can they possible do to make thus team competitive next season? This is not a one year rebuild. Unless they get in a new coaching staff that gets better performance from the same players.

I would rather see parents and ex NFL players sue the NFL into bankruptcy and the league folding before I'd rather see this above scenario.
