    Draft Position

With Miami winning and the Chargers losing today, they ended up with the same record. Does anyone know what their draft position will be? What are the tie breakers?

Both Miami and the Chargers will be looking for a new QB so this could be important in terms of who has the first shot at the 2nd best rated QB coming out of the draft.

    The order is determined by:

    Strength of schedule
    Division record
    Conference record
    Interconference record
    Coin flip

Tiebreaker is the lowest strength of schedule, but we won't know that until the end of the day. After that, it's a coin flip.

Right now, 3 team are at 5-11, Dolphins, Chargers and Panthers, and 2 teams still to play , Giants (4-11) and Jags (5-10). Best chance is Jags win vs. Colts, and will give the Chargers the #6 spot, maybe the #5 if the Dolphins have a lower S.O.S.

As I posted in another thread,
LAC are @ 6 in real time.

A Jags victory over the Colts
would lock us in at 6.

          Tie-Breaking Procedure For S******** Meeting

          1. Clubs not participating in the playoffs shall select in the first through 20th positions in reverse standings order.
          2. The Super Bowl winner is last and Super Bowl loser is next-to-last.
          3. The losers of the Conference Championship games shall select 29th and 30th based on won-lost-tied percentage.
          4. The losers of the Divisional playoff games shall select 25th through 28th based on won-lost-tied percentage.
          5. The losers of the Wild Card games shall select 21st through 24th based on won-lost-tied percentage.
If ties exist in any grouping except (2) above, such ties shall be broken by strength-of-schedule. If any ties cannot be broken by strength-of-schedule, the divisional or conference tie-breakers, if applicable, shall be applied. Any ties that still exist shall be broken by a coin flip.

Thanks, where does a head to head result fit into this? I figured it would be higher.

Yeah, I guess there is a head-to-head disadvantage for the Chargers over both Jaguars and Dolphins. Go Jags.

Thank you Sir for your work.
                      It is either/or.

JAC win or tie means we draft at 6.
JAC loss means we draft at 7.
