Buffalo Bills land coveted UDFA Trey Adams

            Updated Apr 26, 2020; Posted Apr 26, 2020
            By Ryan Talbot | rtalbot@nyup.com
Washington offensive tackle Trey Adams was once viewed as a potential first- or second-round pick in the NFL draft.

Injuries, however, took their toll on the prospect. He reportedly dealt with a stinger as a freshman that cost him two games. As a sophomore, Adams remained healthy and looked like a potential day one or day two pick in the NFL draft. His play garnered plenty of national attention.

His junior year, however, is when significant injuries began to occur. Adams suffered an ACL tear that season that cost him six games. He gained an extra year of eligibility following the ACL tear. Two bulging disks derailed his red shirt junior year (10 games missed).

By the time the 2019 season rolled around, Adams’ stock was very low. He remained relatively healthy in 2019, but his play was not at the same level as it was before his injuries despite being receiving All-Pac 12 honors. Poor combine testing continued his free fall down draft boards.

Although he was no longer viewed as a day one or day two prospect, many draft analysts felt Adams would be a low-risk, high-reward pick late on day three. No team took that risk.

Following the draft, Adams was viewed among the best UDFAs by CBS Sports, USA Today’s Touchdown Wire and NFL.com. After weighing multiple offers, Adams ultimately chose the Buffalo Bills.

For Buffalo, it was a no-brainer. There is no downside in signing Adams as an UDFA. If the team can get him close to his pre-injury form, the Bills will have a steal.

The decision was also wise for Adams.

What do you think. Trading 4 picks for 1? Trautman needs to be a near pro bowl player for this to work for me.

The Saints then traded all of their day three picks (a 4th, a 5th, a 6th and a 7th) to grab tight end Adam Trautman in the 3rd round.

Trautman was first team FCS All-American and the Pioneer League Offensive Player of the Year after pulling in 70 receptions for 916 yards and 14 touchdowns in 11 starts.
I would not have given up our last 4 picks for this guy, but I really like our day 3 picks. Is a slot receiver worth more than a TE? Contract wise, yes IMO.

Bungles are releasing Andy Dalton. Apparently, he doesn't want to play backup to Burrow...

The right side of the OL is now just O.K. with Bulaga and Turner.
At the moment, I thought it was preparing to Tua.
Now it's clear that was to fix that side of the line.
Was there worse RT-RG duo in the league ?
