Liions sign Tyler Conklin to one year deal. Why, I don't know.
And for interest, Simi Fehoko resigned with Cardinals for another one year deal

I also think MM is a big upgrade to Roman so got that going for us as wellOriginally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
LOL yeah That is the point of this whole off season.
The ONLY thing that held this team back and sabotaged their season and playoffs was offensvie line play
This is the sole reason the fanbase is not happy with a very passive approach to fix that offensive line so far. Fans are smart enough to know you can't fix offensive line after the fact, after the draft. Decent lineman do not become available. That is the reason for fan urgency as nearly all of the quality linemen have come off the board.

It can be one year and still qualify…Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
Too bad but not surprised. I didn't think Salyer would get 5 million.
I know it has to be 5 million as the baseline, does anyone know if the deal has to be 2 years or can it be a one year deal?

Especially considering that he won’t count against the comp formula, get him on short deal and pay him what he wants…Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

Saying I am not paying that extra 1-2 million for my most glaring roster need is not something that SB contending teams do. Joe hasn't dropped over 10 million on a free agent addition yet. He can do it once.

The other thing I read about Teller is he has this wierd contract that has like 4 voidable concurrent years into the future from now and is due $99M at the conclusion. I won't pretend to understand it or even try to explain it. I don't know if he gets basically $25M a year each of the next 4 years (but has to wait to the end to cash it) by not signing with anyone. Or perhaps he is getting some bonus money and it makes his price lower? My only point is that deciphering that may be part of the hold up for any team that wants to sign him? It appears he is officially released but it is murky. Browns do really stupid contracts (see Watson). Sheesh.

Good stuff Heat
If that is the case, it is down to the Texans and Chargers I think
Come on Joe - if it takes 22/2 instead of 20/2 - I think its worth it

Good stuff HeatOriginally posted by Heatmiser View PostThis is from 2 days ago (Heavy Sports). I think since then, Parham went to Jets and Giants resigned Evan Neal. I don't know what the status of the Rotten guy is. So, FWIW.......................
The New York Giants want to upgrade their interior offensive line, but the prices are too rich for their blood.
According to Jordan Ranaan of ESPN, the Giants are out on veterans Wyatt Teller, Dylan Parham and Joel Bitonio and are instead in wait-and-see mode while trying to assess their options.
Teller and Bitonio both are veterans who have been with the Cleveland Browns, and Parham has spent the past five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders — he was a teammate of Jermaine Eluemunor’s with the Raiders before the now-Giants right tackle signed with Big Blue before the 2024 season.
The Giants Are Assessing Their Right Guard Position
After letting Evan Neal walk in free agency, and with Greg Van Roten also available on the open market, the Giants are in the market for a guard to go alongside Eluemunor, who recently re-signed to play right tackle.
Parham, who has started 63 games in five seasons including 2022 and 2023 alongside Eluemunor, would seem like the best fit. He earned a 63.6 overall grade from Pro-Football Focus in 2025 while playing 843 snaps for Las Vegas.
Plus, Bitonio and Teller both are also still on the market and could fit opposite left guard Jon Runyan. But Ranaan threw water on any of those players signing with the Giants.
“After speaking with sources Tuesday it became clear Giants pivoted and were no longer willing to pay a mid-tier guard,” Ranaan posted on X (formerly Twitter). “Unless that changes it eliminates the likelihood of signing a vet like Wyatt Teller, Joel Bitonio or Dylan Parham.”
Bitonio is a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro who will turn 35 years old in October. He ranked eighth among all guards in pass-blocking grade (75.7) in 2025 and had the 23rd-best overall grade (70.7) from Pro-Football Focus among 81 guards.
Teller also is a three-time Pro Bowler, since joining the Browns after one season with the Buffalo Bills. But Teller was ranked 40th among those same 81 guards in overall grade (62.2) from Pro-Football Focus.
The Giants May End Up Re-Signing Greg Van Roten
He may not be the sexiest name on the market, but Van Roten has been solid in his two-year stint with the Giants. He posted a 65.3 overall grade from Pro-Football Focus and a 70.1 pass-block grade from PFF, which are both superior grades to Parham and Teller’s in 2025.
Though Van Roten just turned 36 last month, he is a cagey veteran with 144 games and 105 starts — 134 of which have come since 2017. He hasn’t missed a game in the past three seasons, with 34 starts for the Giants, and would keep their much-improved 2025 offensive line entirely in tact.
So the prudent move may be for the Giants to re-sign Van Roten this year and use a mid-to-late-round pick on his replacement at next month’s NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.
At the moment, the Giants have undrafted third-year guard Jake Kubas as their starting right guard. Kubas, who has just five games and three starts and did not play a game in 2025, had the chance to earn the Giants’ starting right-guard role in training camp but lost out to Van Roten.
