I saw some early clips of him running 1x1’s in camp, none of their DBs came close to covering him. Here’s a couple from this week v WAS. He was one of my top favorites in the class before the draft, he had seriously crisp route running skills, snapping DB ankles and leaving them spinning. I havent seen any of the PS games, cuz IDGAF. Not surprised. I’m good with QJ as he’s more physical as an heir to one of our top 2 next year. Zay seems a bit light for that role.

A small WR like that can be quick-jammed off the line by a good NFL CB. I would assign ASJ to cover him, he has the skills and quickness. A properly executed quick jam can disrupt the timing of a route and throw off the entire play.

seriously though, the timing wouldn't be right, we just made things right by Ekeler and he's motivated and poised for a BIG year.

Chargers would probably need to add a draft pick and maybe pay part of Ekeler's salary since Ek is 6.25 + 1.75 in incentives

Nope straight up trade I say...We get JT and they Get EK plus a third rounder...we would have to pay JT with a new contract before the trade is final though. So what, $8-10 mil per year for 3 years with two year guarantee. Taylor will be wasted over the next two seasons on the colts. No?

I've liked everything I've seen from DD, except for the problem he had with the one punt. But, when I think about him getting much playing time, I think would they sit down KA, MW, JP, or QJ to get him in? It's a crowded WR room. I think he'll have a few plays designed to utilize his speed but he'll mostly be return man.
