And this is the problem with waiting for the end of the year to decide on Lynn - lots of other teams getting a big head start on the search.

Exactly. Not only Lynn but Telesco. But I doubt the Chargers will eat two years of Telesco and one year of Lynn.

I think the Spanii will be inclined to only eat one year of Lynn with the chance he is hired to offset some of that money.

Rick Smith is a good name - he did a pretty decent job drafting in Houston - I forget where I saw the list but it was pretty good. Granted, he has misses too

So since Telesco is probably not getting fired - granted, if they go oh fer in teh AFCWest again - well who knows. Its the SPanii

God, I find Coach Rhule's transparency refreshing. Teddy knows he made a poor decision and he knows exactly where he stands with the organization.

        Accountability. It's a good thing.

Lions fans, rejoice. They are bringing in football men.

Hey Spanos Family, bring LT and Dan Fouts into your decision-making. I triple-dog-dare you.

Not sure I'd call that a good thing. What does Barry Sanders know about hiring a GM? He walked away from the game when he retired and hasn't been in any office job in the NFL.
My guess is he would be enamored with Lynn.

Chase Young drops into zone coverage. Decides the QB has broken containment and blitzes.

Quality pass rushers are as rare as franchise QBs.

May 2020 - Source: Cardinals declining fifth-year option on LB Haason Reddick

                https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...ew-york-giants

Sunday - Cardinals OLB Haason Reddick, unrestricted free agent in 2021, has record 5-sack game.

Chargers were playing around $16 million-per-season from Melvin Ingram.

Sign Reddick to a five-year, $70 million deal, (current market value).

Gives the flexibility to draft Penei Sewell at LT or Caleb Farley at CB in the 1st Round.

Um, no. I wouldnt sign him for that. He only had 7.5 sacks prior to this season and they declined his 5th year option. He had a monster game, lets leave it at that.....against the Giants awful OL.
He is 235 lbs and isnt a DE.

If he’s interested their DC position maybe he can be swayed here in the same role
depends on who will be his direct boss (HC)

Barry is obviously just a fan friendly face to attach to the debacle that is the Detroit Lions

One could wish. Is it rare for a DC to come back to a team years later?
