If they trade with us, it'll involve mr Bosa
    I guaran damn tee it
The same as Watt on their roster. Hey if O'Brien is willing to trade Watson, who gives a damn what good he is to them. O'Brien is clearly in over his head and if he trades Watson he will surely get fired after the season. Might anyways. Take advantage of his ineptness, it dont have to make sense. Trading Hopkins didnt make sense.

No it wouldnt. His cap hit next season is 4.4 million and he has a 5th year option. By then we should have plenty of cap space. His cap hit next season would be 3.1 mil less than Tyrods who has a 7.5 cap hit next season. If we trade Tyrod before June 1st, we save 5 mil which pays for Watson.

Chargers can afford both Tyrod and Watson for the 2020 season. They do not even need to trade Tyrod Taylor - and I doubt Tyrod has any trade value at this point. Plus the team would need a backup

Yes...we are in the offseason. Next season is coming up. Suppose i could say this season but it isnt here yet....technically lol.

Also a tidbit for others, Watson is still only 24 years old.

Capology isn't a strength of mine but if the money and cap works to extend Bosa and trade for Watson
it's a no brainer for me

The trade is predicated on the idea that Bill O'Brien and Janice NcNair being dumb shits.

Our only job is to make it work logically.

Tyrod + rookie QB at #6 = Deshaun.

Denzel Mims at #37 + Randall Cobb (both with Texas connections) > Hopkins.

                A little Oline, a little D at #57, 71 & 90.

                Janice is sold.
BOB thinks he got another good deal.
LAC hits SoFi with a young veteran QB,
who projects very well for the LAC brand.
                John Spanos, you little devil.

I have read that Bosa might want to wait to extend his contract for next years cap - as it goes up a lot so for both the Chargers and Bosa - it might make sense to wait for that.

I've thought about it too. I'm thinking Bosa also wants to put $14 mil in his pocket this year before holding out next year when he can afford it!

Why wait? The new contract can be set to begin in 2021 or structured for cap savings this year on a longer term deal.

                          EXAMPLE

                          Long term
                          - 6yr | $150 million | $100 million guaranteed | 2020 Cap $10 million or under.
                          - all guaranteed $s (less signing bonus) complete by year 4.
                          - by year 3/4 will be below market deal.

                          * Rookie QB contract beginning in 2020/2021 gives flexibility to resign key foundational players like Bosa, Derwin, HH, and MikeDub (if he continues to ascend), keep several other of our home grown talent, and to add a FA now & then.
