That might be because his expectations are so high. He had a couple of bad penalties early on Sunday, but overall I thought he handled Mario Williams fairly well. It was the interior guys that were getting pushed around.sigpic

We're trying to keep that on the DL - downlow.Originally posted by Panamamike View PostFWIW we have played three of the better DL in the league.

We have one of the better DLs - disabled lists.
Or.
I doubt I'll get hired for Top 10 on DL - David Letterman.
But, yes, we've run up against some of the best defensive lines. Not knowing a lot about Jacksonville's defensive front, but knowing the Jackfarts haven't won many games in recent years, I think our runners and offensive line will look better this Sunday.Last edited by thelightningwill; 09-24-2014, 10:50 AM.

LAS VEGAS -- The top four teams remained in those spots of the NFL Vegas Rankings, as Seattle, Denver and Arizona were all on bye weeks, and San Diego took care of business against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the league's worst team.
However, there was plenty of shuffling around after that, beginning with New England and New Orleans dropping and the teams that beat them (Kansas City and Dallas, respectively) moving up.
The NFL Vegas Rankings are compiled using the personal power ratings of our panel of ESPN Insider handicappers -- Sal Selvaggio of madduxsports.com, Erin Rynning of sportsmemo.com and yours truly, Dave Tuley -- and are used to compare to the current point spread (they then need to be adjusted for home-field advantage). The industry standard is 2.5 points for home field, but teams such as Green Bay, New England and San Francisco are typically given a full field goal, while Denver and New Orleans are closer to 3.5. Seattle is given the biggest home-field advantage in the league (about 4 to 4.5 points).
Below is a look at the power ratings for all 32 NFL teams, along with Week 5 games where there appears to be value in the current lines. Again, these are not my personal plays or that of any of the other handicappers, but rather the group as a whole. I'll post my thoughts in the "Tuley's Take" column Friday.
NFL Vegas Rankings
1 (tie). Seattle Seahawks (Power rating: 26.5)
The defending Super Bowl champs are off to a strong start at 2-1 SU and ATS with big wins over Green Bay and Denver and only a road loss at San Diego.
Previous rating: 26.5
1 (tie). Denver Broncos (26.5)
The Broncos are 0-3 ATS -- and some believe they should have dropped -- but they've maintained a high rating in an OT road loss against the Seahawks.
Previous rating: 26.5
3 (tie). Cincinnati Bengals (24)
The Bengals are 3-0 SU and ATS and are the most consistent team so far, but they're still a notch below the top two teams.
Previous rating: 24
3 (tie). San Diego Chargers (24)
The Chargers covered as 12.5-point favorites in a 33-14 win over Jaguars, but their power rating stays the same off their so-so performance.
Previous rating: 24
5. Green Bay Packers (23.5)
After dropping in earlier weeks, the Packers move up half a point after a convincing 38-17 win at Chicago as 2-point road favorites.
Previous rating: 23
6 (tie). Arizona Cardinals (23)
The undefeated Cardinals were idle, so their power rating stays the same, but they move up due to the Pats and Saints moving down.
Previous rating: 23
6 (tie). San Francisco 49ers (23)
The 49ers move up along with the Cardinals, but the power rating stays the same after a narrow cover in the 26-21 win over the Eagles as 4-point favorites.
Previous rating: 23
8 (tie). New England Patriots (22.5)
The Patriots' 41-14 loss as 3-point road favorites at Kansas City on Monday night drops their rating a full point.
Previous rating: 23.5
8 (tie). New Orleans Saints (22.5)
The Saints continue to underperform and drop a full point after failing as 3-point road favorites in a 38-17 loss at Dallas.
Previous rating: 23.5
10 (tie). Philadelphia Eagles (21.5)
The Eagles kept their same power rating after their 26-21 loss at San Francisco as 4-point road underdogs.
Previous rating: 21.5
10 (tie). Indianapolis Colts (21.5)
The Colts have routed the Jaguars and Titans in back-to-back weeks to get back to 2-2 SU, but they're 3-1 ATS and improve half a point in our ratings.
Previous rating: 21
12. Baltimore Ravens (20.5)
The Ravens move up half a point after their impressive 38-18 rout of the Panthers as 3-point home favorites.
Previous rating: 20

The Panthers drop half a point for the second week in a row after their 38-18 loss at Baltimore as 3-point dogs.
Previous rating: 20.5

After moving up a full point last week, the Falcons drop half a point after losing 41-28 at Minnesota as 5.5-point road favorites.
Previous rating: 20.5
13 (tie). Chicago Bears (20)
The Bears lost 38-17 to the Packers as 2-point home underdogs, but it wasn't enough to drop them in our pollsters' ratings.
Previous rating: 20
13 (tie). Detroit Lions (20)
The Lions held off the Jets to win 24-17 after closing as 1.5-point road underdogs, but their power rating remains the same.
Previous rating: 20

The Cowboys continued to move up the rankings (and their power rating increased a full point) after their 38-17 upset of the Saints as 3-point home underdogs.
Previous rating: 19
18. Houston Texans (19.5)
The Texans grinded out a 23-17 win over the Bills to cover as the 3-point home favorite, but it wasn't enough to improve their power rating.

The Steelers drop half a point after losing outright 27-24 as 7-point home favorites against the Buccaneers.
Previous rating: 19.5
