Name Your Top 4 Head Coaches in Chargers' History

It's the offseason, which is a boring time for all off us. One exercise that we used to do on the CMB years ago was to name some of the top head coaches in Bolts' history. So I figured what the the heck, let's see what folks here on TPB think. Please name your top 4 Chargers' head coaches of all time, with number 1 being the best and then descending from there. Here are mine:

    1. Don Coryell
    2. Sid Gilman
    3. Bobby Ross
    4. Marty Schottenheimer

      1. Sid Gilman (sid Gillman taught Walsh, Coryell, and Al Davis)..... so he is the grand daddy of the greatest coaching trees in history......
      2. Don Coryell
      3. Bobby Ross (maybe best overall and definitely toughest which is why we scrapped and clawed our way to SB with inferior overall talent)
      4. Norv Turner (I cannot list a coach like marty who has no clue how to coach against good teams especially in playoffs but he was really good at beating bad teams........Turner started slowly coached best late in season and in playoffs)

Best I've seen since I've been a fan is Ross. Marty would have worked out if Spanos hadn't fired him imo

Great point. It's tempting to put Coryell over Gilman simply because Coryell was more recent and more publicized. But Gilman actually probably should be number 1 on the list.

                  1. Gilman AFL Championship
                  2. Ross AFC Champion and SB Appearance
                  3. Coryell
                  4. Marty/Norv (debatable)

Lynn still has an opportunity to make and move up the list.
Who has it better than us?

                    Gilman, Ross, Coryell, Marty.
If Lynn can win a SB, he'll be #1,

We have only had 4 good coaches in the history of the franchise

                        Ross isn’t anyone number 1?
                        interesting
I think he out coached his talent more than any other
