My standards for what is an elite QB are higher then most...... some people out there just look at yardage stats and rate a guy like Carson Palmer as a great elite QB..... but if you actually watched him, he never won a big game in college or his pro career.... and regularly melted down whenever there was a high pressure situation.... QB's like that keep your franchise down because most teams stop looking for a better one.....

CIN has dalton but we all know he sucks so they need to draft a QB......

Washington's QB sucks and certainly is not as good as the top 5 QB's this year.........

Oakland's QB sucks too...... he also has issues of running out of bounds or throwing ball away on 4th down plays, to not get hit or save his stats.... he is clearly not an elite franchise QB

Mariota sucks.....Newrton sucks and has a me-me attitude, Jamison sucks, Tannehill just signed but he is not great either......

My list is based on the fact that if you do not have an elite franchise future HOF type QB, then you are always looking for one. That is fact.

Also, any team that signs or trades for an old vet to start this season still will be looking for a rookie QB to draft and start next year or year after........ so if your starter is Brady, Rivers, brees, big ben, rodgers, stafford(who btw is not great), Newton, ...... etc you are still looking for a young star is you get the opportunity......

KC dominated the AFC West with Alex Smith running reid's brilliant system but they still traded the farm to get a young stud QB........ was that not a good decision???

That is why chargers cannot stay with Taylor or any of the old vets out there......since we are drafting high enough and we let Rivers go, its time to finally get a young talented mobile QB with great passing skills to build a high scoring offense around......

We have to draft or trade up for an elite QB and we must get it right.......

At this rate I think Luck will come back after another season. He could play for 3 seasons and then retire again. He's gotta be thinking they paid how much for Tannehill and Dak Prescott?

lol..... That is a hell of a curveball and good point...... the ridiculous ,money that so-so QB's like tannehill, cousins, Prescott are getting will make Brady, brees, rivers, big ben and rodgers play longer than they had ever imagined.....
