The Bronco fans on Orange Mane are saying this isn't about this game, it's just an unfair rule. They're pushing the cause for altruistic reasons of course, crusading for all the other fans who get screwed when their QB doesn't touch the ball in OT.

Lame homer "article". The rules only "suck" if it applies to your team losing. The logic of "its decided by a coin toss" is asinine. Oh yeah, I forgot, simply possessing the ball means you are guaranteed a score. That's why all games are "decided by the coin toss" at the beginning of the game and the scores are all 56-49. Here's a clue: PLAY DEFENSE. STOP THEM. If you don't like "sudden death", then just play another quarter. Not this fake football crap the NCAA does. Don't want injuries? Play half a quarter. Or 10 minutes. Or just forfeit. Notice this only comes up if it involves Peyton Manning or a "glamour" team? BTW we would STILL have beaten the Colts under the new OT rules as Sproles scored a walk-off TD. Don't like it? Win in regulation.

Can you ask them if they felt the same way when the Bolts lost to Washington last season or how much compassion they had for the Steelers in the Teebow won a playoff game game?

I would, but I'm not registered over there, I don't really care to troll on other teams sites. I just go there after they have a big loss to see what they're saying.

They're ridiculous like the original fanboy that wrote the article. Has anybody else brought up the fact that they didn't seem to care when it benefited them?

I find this funny. The NFL simply cannot win. In my mind, this is the one thing the NFL has got completely RIGHT and they still get bitched at. It's better than the college OT system. In college (where both teams are guaranteed a possession), if you win the coin flip you automatically choose to go on defense, because the team with the ball 2nd gets the automatic advantage of knowing exactly what they need to do (using all four downs if needed in the process). In my mind that's an unfair advantage. And then if it goes to a 2nd round, the same defense has to go twice in a row, also not fair.

In the pros it's better.......if you win the toss you need to go on offense because if you defer and the other team scores a TD, you won't get the ball. However, for the team on defense first; if you stop their offense for 3 downs they will either punt or kick a FG, and then you get your equal chance.

Want to make sure you get the ball if you lose the coin toss? THEN STOP THE OTHER F*CKING TEAM FROM SCORING A TD, CRYING DONKS!!

I haven't heard of anyone else complaining other than the two times and both involved Manning. I'm getting real sick of this crybaby. He is touted as one of the greatest ever but the league has to bend over backwards to appease this fucking petulant baby?

There were actually plenty of donkey fans calling the OP out on the ridiculousness of the thread, and plenty of them asked the OP why he didn't say anything after the Pittsburgh game in the playoffs. That's when he pretended this was more about virtue than how it hurt the donks.

Fuck Kiszla. Maybe Manning should have not bricked all overhimself and thrown an INT, or try playing defense.

This is one of the things i hate about the NFL, these guys become bigger than the game. Nobody should ever be bigger than the game. Tradition means nothing anymore, lets just change everything to make cry baby and his daddy happy.

Denver columnist blames coin flip for Broncos loss

                      http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000399052/article/denver-columnist-blames-coin-flip-for-broncos-loss

The Denver Broncos defense showed improvement in their overtime loss to Seattle, but they were run over in extra time. That's why the Broncos lost, unless you buy the Denver Post's argument that the nefarious coin toss was truly the deciding factor.

"The winner of a classic football game should never be determined by pure, dumb luck," Mark Kiszla wrote. "Unlike the Super Bowl, the only difference Sunday between the Broncos and Seattle was a flip of the coin."

This is insanity. The Broncos' defense prevented the Seahawks from scoring a touchdown on eight consecutive drives in regulation. Do it once more in overtime, and Denver gets the ball back. The Broncos gave up only two touchdowns in 14 drives before the extra possession. If an offense played its absolute worst in overtime, we'd say that they choked. (In this case, we'll just give credit to the Seahawks offense for coming through under pressure, like Peyton Manning did in his final drive.)

"We felt like we were the better team," Broncos defensive tackle Terrance Knighton said.

Even Manning nearly got sucked into the storyline for a brief moment, before realizing that it's a loser's lament.

"It puts a premium on the coin toss," Manning said. "I called tails at the beginning of the game, and went with it again in overtime. It was heads, and it proved to be a significant call. But that's the way it is. And you'd like to not leave it to that, leave it to get to that situation."

The Broncos' offense averaged fewer yards-per-play on Sunday than they did in their Super Bowl loss. The team's running game averaged under 2 yards per carry. The offense punted on eight straight drives. Montee Ball lost a fumble on his first carry. Peyton Manning threw an interception on the team's penultimate drive of the game. But none of that mattered because it was the ever-important coin flip that made the difference.

The latest Around The NFL Podcast recaps all of the Week 3 action and picks the top team in the AFC.

STFU Broncos. Stop the other team from scoring or GTFO. Winning the fuckin coin flip doesn't win the game for you, you pizza shilling Frankenstein lookin motherfuckoloid. Maybe you should spend more time mentoring your defense too, instead of making fucktarded rap videos with your inbred, mouth-breathing dipshit brother.
