Man, from 5 RBs down to 2 in just two weeks. Grice started out poorly for us, but I thought he played better as the preseason progressed. I am sorry to see him go.

I am hoping that we sign LaMichael James. I wanted us to draft him several years ago. In theory, he could give us some of what we just lost with Woodhead going down as a third down back. Brown can play the Mathews role until Mathews returns. Oliver can serve as the #2 RB with James getting some carries there as well.

Going back to AZ probably made a lot more sense to him. Friends, etc back there. Sad to see our options further limited.

I know he was the odd man out in a crowded SF backfield but why is a young RB that was so explosive in college still a free agent?
