2020 Draft: Day 1 Thread

Taylor has been to a Pro Bowl. He is a game manager that does not turn the ball over. That works well with a team that has a really good defense--you know, one that has great versatility with two players that can play everywhere plus good CBs and edge players--kind of like what the Chargers would have had had they taken Isaiah Simmoms.

Herbert likely will not play at all until at least next year, so how does that help us win this year when most other teams are getting better now?

Well, maybe the top brass are figuring that while Herbert sits and we play good D, but not good enough with a conservative offense and conservative QB, we flail again next year and we pick high again the following year.

Of course I'm being facetious, but yeah, I don't see any improvement for the team this year at all. That's why I'm hoping like hell that they hit big on picks 2 and 3 and do well with the lower ones.

Don't care how good Simmons is, it is a QB league. Telesco thinks he will be a franchise QB, I agree.

It is a QB league, and we just wasted the #6 pick on a guy with athletic ability who can't read a defense to save his life. I wanted anybody but Herbert.

Before the picket Herbert I was excited for this season, that just went away.

He has a release you can time with a sundial. People are going to realize how Rivers overcame a bad OL with quick decisions and a quick release. Now we have a better line that will look worse with slow decisions and a slow release.

Tyrod is going to start ...at least half the season. Herbert needs a lot of work and if we are winning, Tyrod will continue to start.

I agree so we might have just selected “present” with our pick, we will get as much production out of it.
