October 8 - San Diego began the morning adding CB Aaron Hester to the practice squad to replace CB Greg Ducre who was signed to the Washington Redskins active roster. Hester is 6-1, 207-pounder out of UCLA most recently with the Detroit Lions. He appeared in three preseason contests and recorded five tackles. Hester initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos.

He was a fairly physical corner that struggled quite a bit in pass coverage. I wondered why nobody considered converting him into a safety (not that he would have threatened anyone's job no matter where he played).
