I don't think there was anything wrong with the design of the play. Tutu actually got off the line pretty well, and had the guy beat. Just Weddle missed on the pass, which wasn't exactly a surprise (that he missed) considering the Raiders were pressuring him and he is not a QB. It was just a really bad situation to have that call trying to be executed, especially given the field position.
AS far as the injury, those things are often just a matter of time. The Raiders WR are fairly fresh coming off their bye week, so they were a step quicker and it showed. On the 1st couple of TD passes, it wasn't like we had no idea what to do (like last year), just guys where not super sharp and Carr and his WR made some absolutely perfect pitch and catch throws. The important thing is that the team did what it needed to do to win, even if it was ugly. There will be games like that, and good teams overcome those things.
Keep in mind that if we can win 11 games, no matter what Denver does, we are almost certainly in the playoffs. The last time an 11-5 teams didn't make it was in 2008, and almost all of the 10-6 teams make it too. So the important thing is to just take it a week at a time and check them off. We are about half way to that total now. Then add in the divisional record, that if we can do well in those games, they almost count double, we are in a good spot. But the important thing is to not get hung up with style points, or trying to get too aggressive (look at all the points Oakland scored on our blitzes). Just play our game, make some plays and play the percentages.
