COVID would not go away even if every person on this planet were vaccinated.
It seems that you keep missing the point. Covid would be far less likely to spread if everyone was vaccinated and more importantly people who get it would be asymptomatic or if symptomatic wouldn’t require hospitalization. That’s the whole point. Doesnt that make it worth getting vaccinated?

This is what the vaccine is supposed to do. But the NFL's application is completely illogical. Any team, vaccinated or not, can have an outbreak.

Vaccinated people make up 75% of recent COVID-19 cases in Singapore, but few fall ill | Reuters

Vaccinated individuals accounted for three-quarters of Singapore's COVID-19 infections in the last four weeks, but they were not falling seriously ill, government data showed, as a rapid ramp-up in inoculations leaves fewer people unvaccinated.

While the data shows that vaccines are highly effective in preventing severe cases, it also underscores the risk that even those inoculated could be contagious, so that inoculation alone may not suffice to halt transmission.

Of Singapore's 1,096 locally transmitted infections in the last 28 days, 484, or about 44%, were in fully vaccinated people, while 30% were partially vaccinated and just over 25% were unvaccinated, Thursday's data showed.
This is what the vaccine is supposed to do. But the NFL's application is completely illogical. Any team, vaccinated or not, can have an outbreak.

Read again what I said. It keeps you out of the hospital. That's it. It doesn't prevent you from getting it.

Oh boy. Even if it only kept people out of the hospital and death that would be enough. But it definitely reduces greatly the chances of getting Covid as well. I do agree that we are reaching peak stupidity

Getting vaccinated absolutely helps in the prevention of contracting COVID-19 and it’s variants. It also significantly reduces your chances of hospitalization and virtually eliminates death as a result of having COVID.

Estimating the total number of coronavirus breakthrough infections is difficult. Through the end of April, the CDC reported slightly more than 10,000 cases among 101 million fully vaccinated adults, which is about 1 case per 10,000 vaccinated people.3 days ago
A stark case in point: During June, every person who died of COVID-19 in Maryland was unvaccinated, according to a spokesperson for the governor's office. There were 130 people who died of COVID-19 in Maryland in June, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.New COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations were also predominantly among unvaccinated people, the state said, at 95% and 93% respectively.

Other states have reported similar findings while urging people to get vaccinated as the more transmissible delta variant is driving up COVID-19 cases.

NFL threatens forfeits for teams with COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players

Like I said in the other thread, it’s selfish at this point to jeopardize the team and your teammates by refusing to vax.
