OT: VB6

Wow Vbulletin has released a brand new software package. VB6. Thats probably where we are headed. As its gonna be a major performance upgrade. And all the complaints over the last 20 years....will all be new features. Honestly i just want to be able to do this....




Cost of this when we decide to do this will be 180. You can visit the VB site and see it listed there. Then the 150 for the install from my tech in the philippines.

Just putting it out there now...because we just did a donation drive for an update....and i dont want to ask again for a few months. Its never been about making money here...just enough to keep us up to date and running perfectly. The CMB was on VB4. Thats like 25 year old software. VB5 is 20 years old. VB6 is brand new. So we will want to stay on the cutting edge of tech etc.

So down the road we will make this change and will need your support. Aloha.

Much love to you guys. Lets just chill for now on this. I want to see what bugs arise. And im thinking i might let a couple updates come out. Patches so to speak. I have to pay for those also so it makes sense to let them iron out the kinks. This just dropped a couple days ago. Most important thing is protecting passwords and emails. Sometimes cracks in software are found by hackers early. Fixes get made and i just want to babysit the early days of this new software first.

Go into the season with a new software. Looks a little different as well i think. We might change slightly cosmetically. And i will have to tweak all sorts of stuff to make any customizations we have work with VB6.

Could be a rocky start...but im willing to lead us into battle if you guys want to do this now. Just speak up on it.
