OT:Tech - Tweet Glitch

Tweets are now being wrapped with [URL] code. I dont know if twitter did that to make it easier for their tweets to be viewed outside of twitter or if its a VB issue. But we are working on it.

If you post a tweet and it doesnt show up. You have to edit your post. Remove the [URL] wrappers around the twitter link.

Im hoping one of these days VB will make it so all we have to do is drop the link in the reply field and it will show up. Probably the best feature of a Pro Board is simply pasting links and having them show up without the need to place them in code.

No problems posting the tweet from a PC browser. I didn't see the "url" surrounding the tweet. Might be just copying from a twitter app, vs. a browser.

Did you have to copy or paste from plain text? Im copying tweets and they are posting with the URLs. I dont want to have to use a keyboard combo to paste as plain text. Why is this happening to me? lol

Bolt O did you just simply copy and paste the tweet in the BBCode?

I never had a problem with chrome and my mac. Nothings changed. But now they are posting as formatted URLs.

Yeah im doing the same. But im posting the URL in the tweet code. Why is it my copies are pasting with the URL format?

Can some of you guys that post tweets do that for me in this thread? Im trying to figure out if they work for you?

For whatever reason twitter links are pasting in our BBcode as URLs. Making them unviewable.

So for Mac users you will need to use the "Paste and Match Style" option.

And for windows you will use the "Paste As Plaintext" option.

Man there are times i just a dumb person. I never even knew tweets had a drop down arrow that supplies the link. I had always copied the link in the browser address box. lol
