I love Downton Abbey. People actually speak to each other in a caring fashion on that show. But thankfully not too syrupy. They have real adult conversation. Poignant stuff. Another I just started watching is "Grantchester". It's also on PBS - right after Downton Abbey in fact.

I haven't seen Broadchurch yet but I'm tempted.
The wife and I really enjoyed Broadchurch....creepy subject matter but very good. I would recommend Whitechapel, IMHO it is excellent.

I really liked the first two seasons of New Tricks.........another very good PBS SHOW was Endeavor.

For Cold War British drama I liked The Game

Although it's not British have you checked out Lillehammer on Net.flix original movies? Funny
Forget it Donny you're out of your element

Damn, Vikings ep 02.... No spoilers, but this is an ep not for the faint of heart or stomach.

Wow, that was pretty rough for non-premium cable.

          Another article on "The Americans"

Seriously, if you haven't watched it. you need to check it out, it's phenomenal.

Also, I don't have netflix, but I remember oip talking about coupling a long time ago. If I had netflix, this is definitely a show I would check out.

Yeah, it was a surprise he even made it into the episode. I'm glad that Floki is not happy anymore.

Do you hate Floki or something?

The inter-clan political boolsheet seems like a lot of manufactured conflict to me. I want more stuff like last season's finale. That was some serious red meat, but so far this season, I ain't complaining.

                Oh, and re: episode 03...

Athelstan, you are a stronger man than I. I'd have hit that all night.

I found Whitechapel finally (for free on the net). Broadchurch is next. I'll check out New Tricks and Endeavor also. The Game too.

I've seen a few Lillehammer episodes. I liked it. It seems sort of like Fargo.

Better Call Jonathon Banks an Emmy winner after his performance in the latest BCS. On the same level as the best BB episodes.

Definitely. That was an amazing performance and episode.

If I could find anything to match The Young Ones or The Comic Strip, I'd be all in. I'll try to check out your notices and thx for the heads-up.

Full Bottom and Filthy Rich and Catflap! Yes! The old Young Ones alumni! Rick Mayall (R.I.P.), was also in a hilarious series called The New Statesman that I've got on disc. Damn shame about his passing.

EDIT: I guess it really is called just Bottom. I'm sorry, the files my friend sent me had them titled as Full Bottom. Still funny as hell, though.
