Super cool analysis! I loved reading through it. Personally, I’d rather see us getting an OT or Top Edge in Round 1 as I think we can’t afford to miss on protection for Herbert or pressure to apply on Mahomes when rushing 4.

After completing my season review, here is my current I’m the GM roster build.
Get out of the way TT/Johnboy.

    LEGEND
    (R) = rookie
    (TC) = team captain
    (M) = million
    (G) = guaranteed
    (SB) = signing bonus
    (CH) = 2021 cap hit

    Key Cuts / Trades
Casey Hayward ($8.75) - traded to Jags for pick 152 (round 5)
    Trai Turner ($11.5)
    Chris Harris Jr. ($7.25)

    Key Unrestricted FA Lost
    SupaMel ($16.65)
    Mike Pouncey ($7.25)
    Tyrod Taylor ($7.5)
    VIrgil Green ($3.5)
    Denzel Perryman ($7.5)
    DSquare ($1.187)

Key Players Resigned / Contracts Restructured
    Michael Davis - 5yr - ($60M)/$30G/$20SB/$7CH
    Mike Williams - 4yr - ($44M)/$24G/$16SB/$7CH
    Hunter Henry - 4yr -($40M)/$22G/$14SB/$6CH
    Rayshawn Jenkins - 4yr - ($30M)/$16G/$12SB/$5CH
    Sam Tevi - 2yr - ($9M)/$5G/$4SB/$3CH
    Dan Feeney - 2yr - ($8M)/$4G/3SB/$3CH
    Nick Vigil - 2yr - ($7M)/$3G/$2SB/$3CH
    Iaasc Rochell - 1yr - ($2M)/$1.5G/$1SB/$1.5CH
    Linval Joseph - 2yr - ($14M)/$11G/$8SB/$6CH

I resigned Tevi and Feeney because they graded out higher than Lamp in 2020. Both have significant starting experience. Ideally we drive them to backup depth.

    * All RFA & ERFA will be resigned.

    FA TARGETS
    Dalvin Tomlinson (DT) - 5yr - ($60M)/$30G/$20SB/$8CH
    Ted Karras (OC) - 4yr - ($36M)/$21G/$14SB/$6CH
    Darqueze Dennard (CB) - 2yr - ($10M)/$6G/$4SB/$3CH
    Fabian Moreau (CB) - 2yr - ($7M)/$3G/$3SB/$2,5CH

    TOTAL 2021 Cap Space Used
    $181,000,000.00 Projected
    $162,865,000.00 USED
    $18,135,000.00 Unused

I don’t expect a ton of FA spending with the reduction in projected cap space. A concentration in retaining our own and a few strategic targeted signings. After veterans get cut for cap space, it will be a buyers market for a final piece or two.

Offer deals to your targeted players. If they say no or the current team offers more so be it. But go after who you really want. If it's Jackson III-CB and Thuney-LG and Linsley-OC, make the offers. And see what happens. If you get none of them .....you still have offers on table for other targets.
Completely agree! If those cap wealthy teams decide to move on (probably why they're cap wealthy in the first place) from quality FA's... then game on!

I propose we go after CB's and IOL's in FA (because I want proven players at those positions immediately). Pay for the FA moves by cutting certain players. Then drafting for needs.

I wouldn't waste my time dreaming of stealing Patriots players away this off-season (which is why I didn't list Thuney or Andrews on my IOL list.

BTW... I didn't suggest Jackson... I think that was Critty.

And you suggested the Bengals CB. You named three, I picked one I'd like.

    This was my original list:

Cameron Sutton / 7 mil / 70.1 He's 25 years old. I use Sutton as a salary guage as Spotrac estimates his salary (based upon production, comps, and age).
Desmond King / 6 mil / 64.7 He's 26 years old. I have no idea if he would consider coming back. Used Desmond as another Spotrac salary guage.
Darqueeze Dennard / 6.5 mil / 66.0 He's 29 years old. He's the CB drafted 1 spot ahead of Jason Verrett. Was just OK for Cinci. Improved for ATL.
Mike Hilton / 7 mil / 69.4 He's 27 years old. Undrafted because of size (5'9") slot corner.
    Shaquille Griffin / 6.5 mil / 67.1 He's 26 years old. Has good speed/size.
Troy Hill / 7 mil / 69.9 He's 30 years old (oldest of the CB's I've listed). Undrafted. Very productive for the Rams this year.
Bashaud Breeland / 6.5 mil / 67.7 He's 29 years old. I liked him out of college. Took a while to develop. Older than many on my list.
** There are plenty more FA cornerbacks... but I targeted these CB's for two reasons. First, they're relatively young and improving. Secondly, they play for teams that have cap problems next year (PIT/TEN/ATL/SEA/LAR/KC) and are almost assuredly not going to be re-signed and will hit the open market.

I didn't add Jackson III, Darby, or Moreau to my lists because their teams have good cap space and probably re-sign them... which, of course, is realistic speculation... Griffin, Dennard, and Hilton are on my list.
