    = 950 pts

In other words, one Jordan Davis could be equal to Jermaine Johnson and Phidarian Mathis.

And we’d still have our original second round pick (#48) for a CB or RT.

This concludes my public service announcement.
If you think those guys are #17 worthy. Still waiting for FA'cy before I decide we need a DT with a high draft pick.
At this moment its a yes.
I'm thinking with Staley's comments we will sign 2 DTs letting Joseph and Covington go.

I know JJ is a Edge but I'm not sold he is #17 worthy.

    • #17 will have an great prospect to draft.

This year's draft will be interesting.

      #1 Pick team doesn't need a QB.

Jets, Giants both have 2 picks in top 10.

      Eagles have 15 &16.

That's 3 teams holding 6 of the top 16 picks.

Expecting at least 3 trades by teams for picks between 1-16 before Chargers even draft.

      Cluster if available at #17.
      D.StingleyJr-CB
      A.Garnder-CB
      K.Green-RT
      Draft
      1.K.Green-RT, 2.K.Gordon-CB, 3.J.Domann-LB
      Free Agency

      JC.Jackson-CB, Chandler.Jones-Edge

I probably should have been more clear. I was commenting on the possibility of trading down from 17. The 17th pick is worth two second rounders. At least according to the draft value chart. So instead of taking Davis at 17, we could turn that pick into Wyatt and Johnson in the second round.

I think it’s a good idea. We have enough superstars. We just need quality players to fill out the roster holes.

Staley needs to have a horseshoe implant to get Stingley at 17.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I feel like all the pundits decided Stingley was a top-5 pick after his freshman season. Dude’s regressed every year since then, or injured.

Seems like a risky pick from where I’m sitting. I’m glad we (most likely) won’t have to gamble on him since he’ll be gone by 17.

            • Things of Importance:

              1. Bigger, more physical defensive front.
              2. Slot corner.
              3. Right tackle.
              4. RB2
              5. Depth, particularly on defense.

              In that order.

                    Let’s hope the commissioner doesn’t.

                    • Jaylon Armour-Davis, who I believe was Alabama’s best CB (better than Jobe), declared for the draft. This is good news. Makes a deep CB class even deeper.

Hybrid-LB that can play well in coverage. And the team is often in sub packages when playing defense. Seems like the type of player who will play his assignment the right way and never short change you with effort.
checked him out a bit.... curious what you see in him that we don't have to some degree in Niemann ??

am still old school in that I want a run stuffing/stopping NT type, and a Denzel knife thru the line for a TFL, or @least someone @LB that doesn't drag and then tackle.... someone that can stand up an RB, or @least stop him in his tracks more oft than not, and.... unfortunately, don't see that guy atm ??
ED Jermaine Johnson II, DeAngelo Malone, OG Zion Johnson, WR Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, RT Daniel Faalele, P Matt Araiza, Michael Turk, TE Cade Otton, CB Josh Jobe, ILB Palaie Gaotete, NT Robert Cooper, WR Justin Shorter, RB D'Vonte Price, Ulysses Bentley IV, SS Dane Belton

I'd be down with moving back into the 2nd IF you can get 2 2nd round picks! That's, what, 3 players in the Top 50, or so? Better than 2!
Imagine we could get an IDL, an Edge, AND a CB! We could plug most of our holes on D in 1 day!
