As for the need at DL, it sure is a real need but ask yourself this - what DL can you name that makes more stops than the LBers? The DL needs to occupy the OL so the LB's can step up and stop the run. Devin Lloyd would be a great addition to our defense if we land a good DL during the FA period.

Right now the need for a LB is probably about number four on the list but suppose we use FA's to fill the other needs and meanwhile White signs elsewhere.

but if our IDL sux balls then the LBs get swallowed up by the OLinemen. Truly is a team sport... IDL keep the LBs clean and they can run downhill at RBs, have the likes of Tillery then your LBs get washed out.

BAsed on the mocks I have seen, RT and CB make sense at 17 and not IDL. Like Jolt, I think they go IDL in free agency and the more I read and hear about Jordan Davis, I would rather have Phidarian M from Bama in R2

None of us know what position will be most needed when the draft comes. We have enough cap space to fill at least three of our needs from the FA's. When we find out what needs are filled at the time of the draft we can make some good guesses about the draft. Right now, we are just talking about the draft in broad terms.

Yep, the DL is going to protect your LB's. If we improve our DL through FA or draft, I predict our LB's will be very productive.
White's value is his ability to read, react and cover. I hope they bring him back. I love Devin Lloyd... but I hope they go CB in the 1st. Just a bigger need.

Jo Jo Domann would be a good fit for this task. 3rd rounder?? Get your DL in FA, get a guy like Lewis Cine in round 2 and back him up with Domann in the 3rd??? Our D would be a whole lot better......

I can’t wait for the new pole once we sign JC Jackson. I’d still want an edge (Karlaftis if Walker’s gone, then JJ3, then Ojabo) but ill be damned if Jordan Davis isn’t tempting.

I still think CB is more likely to be addressed in FA than draft.

Edge is not out of the picture now that we have Mack.

Odds for Jordan Davis have increased.

The odds of finding a decent RT in R3 are better than any other PON.

Conclusion: Pick #17 is Jordan Davis, Karlaftis, JJ3, Ojabo, or Walker.
