Edge is not out of the picture now that we have Mack.

Odds for Jordan Davis have increased.

The odds of finding a decent RT in R3 are better than any other PON.

Conclusion: Pick #17 is Jordan Davis, Karlaftis, JJ3, Ojabo, or Walker.
Trevon Walker is a top 10 pick, probably top 5, elite traits and flexibility.
Jordan Davis is top 15 pick, low probability still on the board as well.
Ojabo with all his athleticism, speed/size and upside gone.

Now the prospects more likely in play are:

Karlaftis, reminds of a mini Bosa, multiple pass moves.
Jermaine Johnson II has a motor/bend like Mack.
DeVonte Wyatt. Chargers Donald, IDL pass rushing ability.

Well you never know because Telesco doesn't seem to do what we think is going to happen, Mack being a surprise for all of us.

But I'll say I don't think Edge is going to be the first round pick. I think it's either going to be cornerback or defensive tackle. Now if we sign JC Jackson which im a skeptic of, obviously that would change and then defensive tackle should be the pick.....if they don't sign any and especially if Justin Jones isn't back.

I like Wyatt a lot too if Walker is gone.
I’m also liking Nakobe Dean. LB with speed that can keep an eye on Mahomes and Wilson.

I still like Wyatt at 17 or at a trade down even better. I don't see another stud 3-4 DE in the late 1st range outside of maybe Winfrey.
1 or maybe even 2 free agent NTs if the 2nd comes cheap enough. Joseph Day or Hicks, then Goldman or Settle. Otherwise the 2nd one in the late rounds.
With Mack-Wyatt-Joseph Day-Jones-Bosa it is a monster front 5 who will keep the inside backers clean and I feel good about replacing Kyzir White with a 4th or 5th round pick...unless we get a RT in free agency also, but maybe unaffordable if getting a #1 corner and starting NT of course.

Day 1 picks must have an effect on the passing game.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
              Let’s win one for Mack.

I am huge fan of Penning seen some tape on him not that I am an expert I actually know shit about NFL scouting but there is something in this player, the last time I felt it about prospect it was Derwin James (to this day I cant believe he has fallen to us).

So... Sign JC Jackson next week and draft OT at 17.

Draftniks!!! How we feeling about #17? Now that JC freaking Jackson and Khalil freaking Mack are on the squad. Are we feeling DT or RT? Or another edge, to give us a 3 headed beast, hehehe.

I think CB is out. Sorry Nutty.

I'm thinking RT or LB. Actually think if Lloyd or Dean are in the board they go there. Dean is 5'11" 229 but ran a 4.55 and can play a LB/safety role.

Lloyd would just replace Tranquill... Or Murray if he still sux.

I don’t know. After the way FAs shaping up, I’m leaning towards BPA or trade down. Hopefully the RT we like is on the board, but I can see it going in many different directions. If we don’t go RT, the pick is mandatory in the 3rd.

Agree it opens things up. If no LB or RT then sure I can see a trade down and recoup a pick.

Never know right now. I wouldn't be shocked at anything now.

Yeah, I’m not sold on Penning or Raimann. Not saying they’ll bust, just not great value at 17.
