Definitely could have been a tactic and i should have listed it. Thank you.

      The cycles of football.

Power football opponents are on our schedule this year.

Now, StaleyD concepts involve tempting opponents to run. We swarm and wrap up. DTs with friendly StaleyD skills will help. EDGE players who hold the EDGE.

IMV the front five determine run defense more than LBs. Amen and Reeder should hold down the fort. Let's see if we snag any two-down UFA LBs now.

It is definitely a discussion worth having, jammer. Glad you have the gumption to state it as you see it. Popularity be damned.

And I do feel ya on Woods. This lack of tackling fundamentals is an issue indeed. But it sure appears StaleyD likes the speed and range. We have got to some how defend all these weapons, speed and size.
We will definitely find out in 2022 with teams like the titans, colts and 49ers on the schedule as well as our division. Pencil neck geeks be damned both on the sideline and in the secondary. Hope Derwin stays healthy or the whole thing goes to pot

don’t like the lack of LBs. You don’t have to tell me that Staley likes to play blah, blah, blah….We were a bad defense last year and remain weak in the middle part of our d. We lack that LB that every great defense has and we didn’t event try. Raiders and Broncos have solid run games and if I’m them I’m planning to run the ball and dominate the clock on us and keep Herbert off the field. And we aren’t built to stop that.
We still have LBs. No one in this draft class was better than what we have currently on the team when it was time for our pick.

Maybe Derwin can give Woods some tips on how to tackle and wrap up...

Vikings signed Tulane Punter. Seems like both CSU & USC P available. Really don't want Chargers ranked bottom 20's again.

                RB #1 - Ekkie
                RB #2 - Spiller
                RB #3 - JJ
                RB #4 - Zander

                Cuts: Kelley, Rountree, Nabers

Save that extra roster spot for DB, O-line or D-line
This draft has completely changed the Chargers' running attack, upgrading the OL and adding a pair big, physical RBs; the run game is not going to be an afterthought now. Do you think they will keep JJ? I hope they do, but I have doubts because of his injury history. Kelley and Rountree can go bye-bye or find a spot on the practice squad as far as I'm concerned.

We hardly ever punt. Don't let it worry you.

Staley places high value on field position, minus the times he goes for broke on 4th down.

The new guy is famous for hang time and net yardage.

The lack of tackling fundamentals has been like a joke on this team for years

I think Dean is better than every LB currently on the team.
