looking over our roster and who's available this next go 'round.... there are two guys that are starting to take precedent for me re: the IDL.

Jer'Zhan Newton and T'Vondre Sweat are two guys that would really look good in Chargers' powder blue, and.... back 2 back IDL has rarely (if ever) been a problem re: a team's fortunes.

on the edge, there are a coupla few guys that I really like as well.... Laiatu Latu and JT Tuimoloau look real good, and Bralen Trice is def of intrigue as well, albeit like Bosa.... dude makes me a tad wary for some reason.... dunno ?? and can't say I wouldn't be ok w/Jared Verse as well/either, if that was the last guy standing outta the bunch ??

not really ready to raise the flag on any DB per se, albeit do really like LB Cedric Gray, and wouldn't mind Eric Gentry late, or better yet as an UDFA ??

on the other side of the ball, think we gotta be lookin' RB early, and as most all of my guys are day three/round four guys, not sure who that round three talent is gonna be, coz don't think we're waiting 'til day three to roll the dice @RB ??

am still a Daijun Edwards guy, and still like Raheim Sanders and Jonathan Brooks a bit.... back 2 back RBs to follow our back 2 back IDL wouldn't be the end of the world (hopefully we trade for an extra second and third so we can add an OC along w/LB to the aforementioned).

is there a backup QB in there somewhere for us ?? is there a sneaky good depth piece @wideout that stays on board thru some of day three ?? J. Michael Sturdivant perhaps ?? anybody seen much of/been watching any of Bru McCoy ??

don't have a TE in the mix.... maybe an UDFA or coupla few there ??

and plenty of RTs in the mix for Ghost and others, albeit not partial to anyone in particular as of now.... ?? albeit the one must get round two if he is on the board is Sedrick Van Pran.... @least me thinx,

like Cooper Beebe and Donovan Jackson on the interior if for some reason they fit into our draft strategy, as am not against using Jamaree as our super sub on the Line.
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
TE Jelani Woods, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, P Matt Araiza

That is a very good question...a toughy...I would say Rivera...you gotta tackle if you want to see the field with that coach, and he wont suffer BS. Hell, Id consider him as at least a candidate for HC...but for DC, I like both.

whether it's a 3T, 5T or ED.... give me a DL that can get to the QB and disrupt the run game on the DL, round one.

am also looking to move Bosa, and hopefully in return for a second, and parlay that into an NT, and then nab our much needed OC on top of that round two.

round three am replacing Kendricks w/Cedric Gray, and Austin w/Daijun Edwards, and.... am open to moving Derwin if it nets us a third, which in turn would use on an OG, and of whom competes w/Jamaree @RG, and lets Salyer replace Sarell on the depth chart, for the if and when need be.

Sturdivant would be yet another MW fill in.... Miyan Williams would spell Spiller, Milton would spell Stick, and Eric Gentry would spell.... (not sure am ready to move off of Amen ?) ??

Star Iowa DB, PR out for year … Star Iowa CB Cooper DeJean, a top 15-20 prospect for the 2024 draft, will miss the rest of the season with an undisclosed lower leg injury. Fortunately, though, it does not appear to be an ACL as the school has indicated that the recovery period is in the 6-8 week range which means he should be ready for pre-draft testing including the combine. DeJean is one of 5 finalists for the Nagurski Award, given annually to the outstanding defensive player in the country, while he also leads the Big Ten in punt returns. The 6-1, 210-pound DeJean is currently listed as the #18 prospect overall on the GBN Big Board.
I’d take Maye over Caleb without blinking. I think both UW and UO QBs are better than Caleb - I’m just not buying into his hype machine personally. Of course, i could be wrong lol.

              32) Philly * ED Chop Robinson * don’t think Shedeur is gonna declare
As mcuh as I like Johnny Wilson, I would put Xavier Worthy in his place. Worthy had some questionable drops but his route running and speed is top notch. Johnny Wilson probably can be had at the the third round. I can see some teams asking him if he is willing to switch to TE and I can see him saying,"Nope, I am a WR." depending on how teams react he might be off some people's list. Plus some teams might view his size as an issue, like that "You are too tall to be a jocky" type sentiment. Not saying its true and he has proven he is functional at his size, but that might possibly be a weird but possible knock.

                17: R1 P17 CB Denzel Burke - Ohio State
The obvious need is @CB. Against all conventional wisdom, it has been for the last 2 years. Vato will be too expensive to bring back ( recognize the 2024 cap issues). Find a good DC to develop the secondary.

                49: R2 P17 RB Trey Benson - Florida State
Ekeler is gone. Find young legs that can carry the #1RB load. Must have a RB that can pass block as well as run the ball.

                81: R3 P17 EDGE Jasheen Davis - Wake Forest
Must find a pass rusher that can also set the edge. Mack will be gone (2024 cap considerations). Pair him with Bosa and Tuli in the rotation. Rumph just hasn't developed.

                117: R4 P17 LB Payton Wilson - NC State
I like his intensity and size to be a MIKE. Let him learn behind Kendricks for a year. Pair him with Henly in 2025.

                153: R5 P17 WR Roman Wilson - Michigan
A very deep WR class pushes him down the board. Route running savvy WR that can win contested passes... with good speed.

                192: R6 P17 S Akeem Dent - Florida State
2022 injury has pushed him down the board. Smart defender who can be physical. Gilman is a FA and we will need depth behind JT Woods.

                236: R7 P17 TE CJ Dippre - Alabama
I know this is later than most want. Forget about Alabama stats. Go look at his 2022 tape with Maryland. Value pick.

I would address the center position through free agency. It would be the only FA signing I would spend decent money on (2024 cap issues). The money would come from releasing Corey Linsley (one of my favorite FA signings). Developing centers is hard to do and takes time. The time is now. Get an experienced center to pair with the young guards. IMO, the center position, via the draft, is unremarkable.

                Run the ball
                Play great defense

                  Coleman

Sanders (back end round 1 but may climb with recent success of 1st round TEs. Dalton McKaid or Trey McBride type. Great blocker for his size. )
