I agree! There are a few i wouldnt trade back for, Bowers being one. MHJ another. OK , maybe 2. But yes if they are gone and MHJ certainly should be, then im for trading back a little, ...depending on where we end up picking. But imo, TE is a very weak spot and doubt we are resigning Everett and even if we do, he is average and below average blocker and will be a 1 year deal IF he s back. Just doubt he is.

Hey not all first round TEs bust. Tony Gonzales was a stud and so will Bowers. Hockenson doing very well. Kincaid isnt a bust and i liked Bowers over him....and i wanted us to draft Kincaid. Never thought we would suck bad enough to sniff Bowers.

If they are at 7 and can go back to 9-10, get an extra 4th and still get Kool-Aid, that would a great situation. I would also try and trade back in the 2nd a few picks to grab another 5th. There will be some good value in those rounds for depth.

Dont know why we would move Slater anywhere. He has been a All Pro at LT. Id assume the OT we draft would go to RT. But top 5 OT? Seems a stretch to me. Got to think they trade down if going OT.

This...if we have the #5 pick we trade down unless marvin is there at #5 for some strange reason. Plenty of likable players between 10-15 for us. 1 of the top 3 QBs will be there at #5 and someone will move up.

He would be the ideal pick for us as long as he passes his medicals. And if he doesn't I would still pick him with our second rounder. LOL!

Junior edge rusher Dallas Turner, who led the team with 13.5 TFLs, nine sacks and 13 QB hurries, is the most feared up front. “He scares you,” said one head coach. “He’s elite.”

Turner’s bookend on the opposite side, Chris Braswell, is a freaky 256-pounder who can run almost 22 miles per hour and has a 38 1/2-inch vertical jump. He is second on the team in sacks with eight. There isn’t a Quinnen Williams-type presence inside, but Justin Eboigbe (seven sacks) is their best big guy. “They ask him to take two guys a lot to let the other guys roll,” said an offensive assistant who played Alabama early. “He’s very solid.”

Scouting the secondary


“They might have two of the top five corners in college football,” said one SEC quarterbacks coach. “Maybe two of the top two. Their secondary is a lot better than Georgia’s.”

Kool-Aid McKinstry was named a first-team All-American by several services and is viewed as a top-20 pick by The Athletic’s Dane Brugler. “He’s big and talented, but he’s so handsy. He’s a big pass interference guy,” said an offensive coach who played Alabama in the first half of the season.

Terrion Arnold is viewed by rival coaches as an even better corner. The junior leads the SEC with five picks. An SEC defensive backs coach said Arnold’s athleticism separates him from other corners.

“Their two corners really got in our grill,” added an SEC West analyst. “They had the two best corners we saw. Not gonna give you access or easy throws.”

About OT Mims from Georgia...the small sample size really bothers me...whenever that happens with a player, I have to automatically consider them a boom or bust prospect...and we can't afford a bust...why I all but have him removed from my board...wouldn't pick him in the first, and have Fuaga ahead of him anyway (obviously, this is in consideration of us trading back a ways)...but doubt he lasts till the second. Yea, pretty good performance in his 8 games this year, but first time logging starts, already dealt with injury for much of the season...had tightrope surgery...he may test out high, do well during the process...and you gotta love the size and athleticism... but an awful lot of projection and expectations for my taste...

Your stay put 4-7 looks ideal to me. talent gets my vote. I believe we'll get one of them. Harrison - Bowers are my favs but we can't go wrong with a top OL or edge.

A lot of it does but yes, Vato has been shit and they should just cut him and let Leonard play if he is healthy. Staleys scheme is the biggest problem. But agree we need a CB...or two.

No need to cut Vato... he is a free agent at season's end. I wouldn't re-sign him with money we don't have anyways.
IMO, Leonard is depth. I don't want him starting. Ja'Sir is also up/down. Depth...? Sure.

We've got 1 starting calibur CB on the roster next year (ASJ) and he's a #2.
If we don't get a #1 CB... we're in big trouble next year. Staley relied on smoke/mirrors/disguise.
The JCJ flop left us with one of the worst secondaries in football. I warned everybody... 2 years running now...

personally don't think BB is gonna get an offer, and.... also think Drake Maye is the more likely bust/disappointment prospect outta the top three QBs ??

also think Az is the most likely spot that someone tries to trade up, and given that Marvin & Maye go 1-2 ??

still think the Raiders are the team that should trade up into third overall, as they can do the such w/a next year's No. 1, and as Caleb has them as one of the teams that he would like to be drafted by.

and of the second tier QBs, would feel pretty uneasy turning in the card on Michael Penix.

question for us is: do you trade down (if someone wants to leapfrog someone in pursuit of Jayden Daniels) ?? and as the author of the article likes the value of late first rounders/early second rounders rather than @the top of the stanza ??

still think we pick nine overall, and guessing that Bowers is off the board, and that we have our pick of ED Latu, CB Kool Aid, DT Jer'Zhan, or RT Fuaga.

if we trade down, not sure that I see that team in the latter part of the first, and the more likely trade partner someone like an Atlanta or N'awlins, who are picking just a few picks after us ??

picking just short of the teens we'd be looking @players like Kool Aid, Fuaga, WR Rome Odunze, ED Jared Verse, CB Nate Wiggins, ED Bralen Trice, or DT JT Tuimoloau.

so suspicion is if you're a RT or CB guy, perhaps you'd chance moving down some via trade, but if you're a Dline guy, are you fine w/Verse, Trice or Tuimoloau, instead of a Jer'Zhan or Latu ??

and Atlanta's third rounder is too high for a fair exchange, so you'd prolly be asking for a 2025 second rounder from them in lieu of any third rounder this offseason, and the Saints don't have a day two pick to offer, so ditto from them unless you like a player or two of their's, and of which they were willing to deal, i.e. OC Erik McCoy or DT Bryan Bresee ??

ps. and even if you do decide to trade down and nab an extra pick, the odds are still against you.... the odds say thay you will hit on just one of your two picks, which would be a lesser pick either way than your original top ten pick.... you get a mid first round talent or a mid second round talent, but the latter not 'til 2025 >> prolly better to just keep the pick that has the best odds of yielding the desired dividend.

Not in my opinion. If you watch full game tape... "Alabama defense vs 2023"... you'll see that most teams don't throw Kool-Aid's way. His stats may not be as good as Terrion Arnold's, but teams prefer to stay away from him.

IMO, McKinstry has better man v man skills and has better instincts. And one thing that hasn't been mentioned is McKinstry's return abilities.

I have a very hard time thinking we will go OT there. Yes we need to somehow lose Pipkins and we need a OT and a OC (the latter hopefully a FA signing)but thats an expensive OL. Maybe we get a couple of picks for trades and we get one round 2 or 3. Its a pretty good OT class.

Maybe Salyer is best suited for RT and we draft a OG like Beebe.
