I doubt anyone here expects all 4 to be jettisoned.

Most often I see the speculation as one WR (Williams) and one DE (Bosa) gone, ideally via trade.

Allen and Mack were your best players on offense and defense this year. Cant see giving them the boot unless you decide in advance next year is just for rebuilding and you don’t care about winning.

I see him using savvy draft capitol to get a bruising RB later and OL talent early.

Joe Alt in the 1st & B. Allen in the 3rd!

Trade down to #8 and draft Dallas Turner!

Only so many snaps and passes to go around. I'll take a flyer on him while shedding Bosa's bloat versus the cap. I would rather do this than say, get a 5th/6th for JB. But it's all hypothetical and with JB's injury history, you have to ask just who would give up anything for him.
So he didn't get many looks because other guys on the team were better. That kind on sums up why he's a third string TE and 28 passes in a season is nothing to brag about.
TEs are historically difficult to judge for lots of reasons. Tall TEs in particular often have problems in the NFL with injuries and blocking techniques. He's not a "receiving TE",
more in the mold of Parham who will make some plays but is often injured and just OK as a blocker. So a hard pass for me. We'd be better off making a trade for a legit RB
which we desperately need. We either draft Bowers or resign Everett. We already blew our chance at good TE last year. Washington isn't going to change that.

We had a top Dline for getting to the passer last year, and the 31st ranked secondary. Eliminate Mack, who had the lion’s share of those sacks/pressures, you got crap cuz no single EDGE can do it all, Tuli will get doubled and look very very mediocre and our pass coverage will be dead last. Reality, folks.

I don’t think scheme change is the fix like I do with the OL, we have a serious dearth of talent all over the D thanks to Staley/TT sunny draft pickings ending up big effing rain clouds, it’s late AJ I-know-everything-better-than-anyone-else bad. If the draft goes one, maybe two O picks and all else D, that would be very appropriate IMHO. I love that all O draft someone posted, but an all D draft would make the team better IMHO.
Trade Mack for a 3rd. Use Fox as Edge w/ Tuli. The 3rd is a backup. Free agent Uche played for Michigan under JH. He can be backup. Draft an Edge #4. If we get Cunningham from Eagles, a free agent is Brandon Graham (cheap). He played for JH before too at "M."

(#1 BA, #2 CB #3 RB Corum or Irving).
            Peace

Alt also played TE before switching to T

Frank Gore Jr in the 6th round baby!

              I see this: #1 BA #2. CB. #3 Corum/Irving RB.

2012: @#30 WR AJ Jenkins (bust)

And his teams @Michigan were known for their defense.
                Ya 3 outta 4.
Why not CB #2 bcuz best avail seems to be WR and TE at #5. Even OT is rated higher than the next avail DE on WalterFootball Mocks

Ummmm WHY is Quinn even a candidate?

Frank Reich has won w/ less (Seems like clowns gave him juggling QB's during his tenure at Indy). Not much stability. Yet, he won. Give him an ELITE QB.
Set up to lose at Carolina. Elite coaches would have lost there too.
Good to see Coaches who have done more with less and he's one of them.

That’s a lot of ifs and moving parts that might or might not work out. I’d keep Mack instead and pay the man, he’ll be worth it especially with fixing the back seven on D as a priority.

They made it while playing in the toughest division in football. They made it playing defense. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just beat the Eagles (and their 30th scoring defense) with Baker Mayfield at QB and Cade Otten as their TE. They won that game with defense.

Defense matters... it just does. We've spent the last 4 years' first-round picks on an offensive player.
Go get the boring defensive player for once.
The Steelers just got bounced hard on their ass. They are not a championship teal or remotely close. They are not our target.
Baker Mayfield played a fantastic game, a top shelf performance, you should not take anything away from his game. Their TE dominated the Eagles, but also the Eagles played like ass and tackled worse than launchwhiffy

Who do you want - Latu? Turner? Neither of them are rated Top 5 anywhere I've ever seen so you're giving away BPA value for need imo. All ranking boards are similar, none exactly same - lets go with ESPN board

See the best remaining players on the draft board during the 2025 NFL Draft with Draftcast on ESPN

There are no defensive players in Top 5, only 1 defensive player in the Top 10 (Turner at 8). I see a few good options for LAC at 5 - Bowers is in that Top 3 option list and I disagree with anyone who says an elite TE is not sufficient value or would not be a big upgrade to the offense. Its an opinion.

If LAC wants to draft defense, they should trade down Latu or Turner at 5 is a reach.

Same on ESPN. Defensive player in Rd1 this year means they should trade down and add more picks. Thats an approach to building a winner, if thats Harbaugh's strategy, I'm trusting him.

but don't take Koolaid, Turner or Latu at 5 as thats too high a price - that is overpaying for need vs BPA. IF we had no use for the BPA, that would be one thing. I am not a BPA purist - the team needs to be able to use their Rd1 pick. but we definitely need a TE and a WR in the category of Nabers/Odunze as well - assuming MW is gone for cap. Palmer and Q should not be our primary #2 WR next year.
