Watching Jahmyr Gibbs is a great example about special playmakers. Most on here would never condone drafting a RB at 12 but Detroit recognized a special playmaker. I would say Gibbs has made more difference to Lions success this year, than CB Gonzalez would have at 12.

Verrett blanketed Odell Beckham Jr. in college ... so you knew how good he was when healthy.

Not interested in a 4.5 cb in the top half of the 1rst.

When I think of what the Chiefs have that we don't have? to me the glaring difference is that they have a playmaking TE and a playmaking interior defensive lineman, those two areas are lacking on the Chargers...drafting Bowers could fix one of those two deficits, I don't think there is an interior defender that is worthy of a top ten pick right now, is there?

Dan Analytics Campbell … blows a 17 pt lead in less than a quarter and blows the chance to tie. Leonard Taylor is likely to be available to the Chargers in the 2nd round. Possibly even the 3rd. I might prefer a CB at the top of the 2nd, but it's up to Harbaugh. The Chargers could use him. They haven't had a real quality nose tackle since Jamal Williams.

I love Gibbs, and was hoping he would fall to us.

Christian Gonzalez was the Defensive Rookie of the Month in September and suffered a season-ending injury. I'm not confident that Gibbs would be making much of an impact behind New England's offensive line. I doubt the Lions would have drafted Gibbs 12th overall if their offensive line was garbage.

I had wondered if the Bolts would draft Gibbs, if they had the chance at #20. The guy is a terrific playmaker, but I *still* believe that the Chargers should focus primarily on BEEF. Gotta get the trenches up to snuff.
