The funny thing to me is a team actually took Tua over Herbert.

It's pretty clear why Miami went with Tua.

Among Tua's strongest qualities is his Leadership. He inspires teammates.

The *Big Question* about Herb coming into the draft involved Leadership, because he's definitely not the rah-rah type that QBs so often are.

If the Miami brass had understood the degree to which Herb is a competitor, *maybe* they would have chosen differently. And maybe not.

We are so trading down IMO.

That sounds like the anti Telesco. TT would be already desperately locked in on one player to fill a huge need. These lock ins meant no trading down either. BAL avgd 8.6 players/draft. no wonder they were better than us in the past 5 yrs.

I think we are going to trade down because there is going to be a lot of interest and competition for that pick. I'm guessing a team is going to give up a lot to move in to the #5 position.

I really hope we do this. These high draft pick trades for multi players are what set teams up for nice futures. DET (traded QBs) and CHI recently. Our nice runs in the past too , 2001 and 2004.

In my personal mock I have both Jenkins and Colson in the 2nd round after a trade back in the 1st. I would probably take Allen RB in the 3rd. Hopefully we will have 2 3rd round picks as well.

I've seen Jenkins go in the 2nd round before... but I've never seen Colson go in the 2nd round. They are both very good and wouldn't be surprised to see both go in the 2nd round. But I also like a lot of other DT's and LB's, too. Which is why I try to wait until the 3rd to get a DT or LB. I'm really hoping for a trade back, too. An extra 2nd, 3rd, or 4th will net us a good player.

You actually think Tua is more of a leader than Herbert??? I don’t. You can lead by example.

Guys get inspired to play seeing Herbert go out there with his ribs or hand.

I like both of them because they are good players. I also like them because they played in Minter's defense and they will likely be ahead of the learning curve. These are more picks that make sense but will be happy with whoever they pick.

They took him because he had success playing for Saban. I'd estimate the chances they'd take Tua over Herbert with the luxury of hindsight would be less and 5%. Tua is one of the most overrated QBs in the league.
